If there has been any updates since that guide was written preventing the two types from being around together, I don't know about it.

In other words, yes, as far as I know.

Not having the maximum amount of traps is part of it, as well as using a wolpertinger (+5) over an arctic bear (+7). Not to mention the catch rates of the jadinkos increase as you level.

Whether that is responsible for a 40k loss in xp/h, I can't say.

More questions. So I did a 20min round using

full witchdoctor

wolpertinger

hunter potion

scentless potion

And I'm still not getting optimal exp rates. Would I really potentially lose -40k/hr not having 5 traps?

Yes, that would explain it. Also, wrong familiar--that too. And you should be using 6 traps, BTW, not 5.

I can't set more than 5 traps and I'll switch my familiar straightaway. Guess I'm still too far away to hope for 158k/hr Thanks guys.

The 6th trap is in your inventory. It's faster to use an extra trap than to wait for the one you just picked up to appear in your bag.

Incidentally, if you have juju hunter potions, carrion/aquatic should be faster than carrion/igneous.

This, and bypassing the auto-walk west after laying a trap will increase xp rates by quite a bit. I click to where I want to go next (which is usually under a trap that needs to be checked/withered) whenever I see the marasamaw plant "explode", i.e. it has just begun to open up. Takes a little while to get the hang of it.

Working on max and completionist capes.

So check filled trap, pick-up animation - > click on spare trap in invent, while laying the moment it opens click the next spot you want to go?

Just trying to make sure if I understand properly. Thank you guys for the help.
