Dusk Souls
I have some money that I have destined towards getting my prayer to 60; but it seems that as we near the BXP weekend the prices of bones has been slightly increasing, so I am wondering if it would be better to spend buy those bones or to wait a bit to see and buy them cheaper (which also allows me to get more money for more levels). Thoughts on this?
Poppet
Getting Chivalry will save you money in the long run from speeding up tasks and such. If you haven't done King's Ransom do it. Waiting for the prices to go down isn't worth the effort. You only have 600 bones to do even if they drop 200 each you will only save about 120k. Getting 2.2 million at your level shouldn't require too much effort with decent gp/per hour methods.
ilovecuttingyews
Gilded altars do NOT work during BXPWs so technically, they shouldn't be affected by the weekend. That said, all the markets kind of go a little crazy right before BXPWs so I can't really say which way they'll go.
Quyneax
They shouldn't go up much if at all, I'd sooner expect a slight drop, but mostly the weekend won't affect prayer terribly much I should think. People 'should' not be doing prayer on the weekend & making money by killing dragons to spend on bxpw supplies, so... I kind want to have 60 prayer before doing king's Ransom, I just got the levels to do it yesterday or so. That said, all the markets kind of go a little crazy right before BXPWs so I can't really say which way they'll go. I know they don't stack, hence why I asked if they would drop after the weekend. I actually plan to train agility on the weekend. They shouldn't go up much if at all, I'd sooner expect a slight drop, but mostly the weekend won't affect prayer terribly much I should think. I didn't quite get the last part of your point Quyneax, do you suggest to slay dragons to make money for supplies?
That_Brown_Kid
Probably increase. Prayer training items usually follow the same curve as bxpw items (but to a lesser extent) due to lots of players not even knowing that bones work. I found, however, that bones are cheapest DURING bxpw because these players realize their mistake and then immediately flood the GE with bones. Two BXPWs ago, I capitalized on this and got 95 prayer this way. Look into Ourg Bones (the General Graardor ones) they usually have a good gp/xp ratio. Sinkhan
I find that the day of or the day after the start of BXP things are nice and cheap. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

I'm not 100% sure the effect will be noticable but it should at least not cause bones to rise.
