xByrdman
Hey guys! I've used tip it for a long time but I've just now made an account for the forums because i have a question about the fight caves. I tried it today for the first time and died on wave 54 (thought the 360 was still blocked and couldn't attack, it hit a 407 and that was that) I'm not sure i could've finished it anyways my levels are:Attack 73Strength 63Defense 75Range 79Magic 70Pray 60 My Inventory was 6 brews, 14 super restores, 6 prayer pots, 1 ranging pot, and 200 diamond (e) bolts My setup was Verac Helm, Zamorak Body, Verac Plateskirt, Snakeskin boots, Saradomin Stole, Ava's Accumulator, Sara Vambraces, Dfs, Rune xbow, 2.5k Broad Bolts, and ring of recoil(didn't have enough for archers and i didn't think +4 was a big deal) When i died i had 2 brews (4) 1 brew(3) 10 super restore (4) 1 sp (3) and 0 ppots I already have Void(That's probably impossible though) and i also have a Zammy book, not too much cash to work with, I could maybe get a Fury or Karils but no Armadyl or anything like that Basically my questions areDid i just screw up and could've finished? Is my setup any good? My range att bonus was only +124Did I have enough brews?Any other tips are greatly appreciated:)Thanks in advance!
Contractor
You might have had trouble with the brews left if that was your only method to heal, try using some flasks also so you can carry more doses of brews. I think you were more than good on restores so maybe cut back a couple. There is nothing wrong with your set up, you can certainly complete the fight caves with it. Should I bring more than 200 diamond bolts for Jad?
Contractor
If you're using it just on Jad then 200 should be plenty
Powerfrog
You brought waaay too much prayer restoration and way too little brews. Try replacing the prayer potions with brew flasks. 14 super restore flasks will be more than enough. The setup seems fine. Contrary to popular belief, black d'hide body is actually better than karil's body. They share the same offensive stats yet karil's has much better magic defense and lower melee defense, the melee defense would be more useful for the caves. Quyneax
Actually, Karil's has more ranged defence which is more useful, since you aren't under melee attack by anything significant anyway. Karil's is better. I'd recommend using runite bolts instead of broad. It costs a little more, but the additional damage output is very valuable and makes it that much easier to survive. After all, monsters can't hit you when they're dead ;). If you felt that you weren't hitting a lot, trade Verac's skirt for Karil's or dragonhide. Pray eagle eye at all times. Quyneax
You'll use a lot more prayer but you'll also finish the caves a lot faster. You can easily finish the caves even with 0 prayer bonus now that flasks are here, I wouldn't worry about it. Time to practice Prayer switching...
rilo kiley
i got mine with a lower range level than yours, (only 75)i went with armadyl mitre, armadyl cloak, arma blessed dhide body, legs and braces (they absorb a little more mage and range than regular dhide) arma bookrune crossbow, glaiven books, archer ring, and a fury with broad tipped bolts for everyone but jad and the mage, i also had reverence equipped, and i had a high prayer bonus (+18), range bonus of 178, and i had 6 pray pots (high bonus) and 2 range pots, 9 sara flasks, 9 super restores and 1 spot for diamond bolts and 1 spot for accumulator when i was fight mage/jad(id switch with diamond bolts)... (im gonna switch to arma plate/skirt next time) it took me 3 tries, and and cost like 2m for them :P, but the 3rd time when i did it i had 3 sara flasks and a 2 pray pots leftover. But now you know you can do it if i did with lower range. and as far as switching prayer make sure you dont panic, i did the first time and died, second time i lagged for 3 seconds while he switched attacks and came back dead, but 3rd times a charm! :P GOODLUCK! and you can do it. iOwn.... (kinda)2 year old account, Hoping to max before 3-year mark.Drops - LOTS! =P1500 total, 2000 total, 2200 total, 2400 total, 2496 total, 2595 total.99s in order: 99 herblore, 99 firemaking, 99 cooking, 99 strength, 99 Constitution, 99 Attack, 99 ranged, 99 dungeoneering, 99 summoning, 99 fletching,
Platinum_Myr
Basically for prayer switching, just don't panic when he switches. I find it easier to say outloud what his attack will be as I switch.
