March 21, 201214 yr After I'll max melee, I'll slay with range until I hit 99 range. I'll also be using a cannon. Now I just don't know what gear to use. I was thinking of using this gear: I don't really know what weapon to use, I could switch out the weapon, but I think the armor is the best for ranging. Thanks in advance. :)
March 21, 201214 yr Use a Karil Crossbow for high defence tasks, and rune knives/dragon darts for low defence tasks. Chaotic crossbow is overkill in terms of accuracy, and horribly slow. Edit: For things with really low defence, use void over fsh. The ~5% damage increase is usually better than a load of accuracy.
March 21, 201214 yr Knives are pretty expensive. Whenever I range slayed I would use either a zaryte bow or a chaotic crossbow + runite bolts. The high accuracy makes your cannon more accurate as well, which is useful. What is your Magic and Summoning level if I may ask?
March 21, 201214 yr Dragon darts are a nice alternative to rune knives, they're a fair bit cheaper. Also dont forget the +40 damage boost in kuredals (spelt wrong I know) with rings. Swift gloves might also be a nice if you want to invest the time.
March 21, 201214 yr I would get 99 Magic first before ranging. Use a cannon on every task possible for some good range experience.
March 21, 201214 yr Glaiven boots would offer 2 more ranged attack. I wouldn't use an unholy book with ccbow, unless you were using bane bolts or dragonstone bolts (e). Karil's deals more damage than rune bolts afaik.
