Should you ever dye your hair, your natural hair color (or whatever color you had on previously) always effects how your dye job turns out. But, since your going from a lighter color (red) to a darker color (black), the affect that your red hair has on it will be a bit more minimal. If anything, your new black hair is going to look a bit dry.

It won't have much effect since you're going to black - just make sure you let the dye sit in your hair for the time it tells you to before washing it out.

Might wanna hit yourself for dying it in the first place.

Oh, the hilarity!

What's wrong with dying your hair?

Dreaming of that face again

It's bright, and blue, and shimmering

Grinning wide

And comforting me with it's three warm and wild eyes

Hmm...

Is your question specifically about the two dyes going on top of each other or are you just concerned with the black and blue going on the red?

If its the first question then I'd try and find out if the company has any information about using one dye after another.

If its the latter of the two, a black/blue color should go over an auburn just fine. I've always been under the impression that red is a very easy color to dye over.

From what I've seen my friends do, this will not be a problem at all. The dark blue is a much stronger color than the red so it shouldn't be affected.

Please don't hurt me if I'm wrong... :P

I remember my sister went through this hair-dying stage about 2 years ago. By the end her hair was so many different colors it wasn't even funny. Question though, how long is your hair? I've dyed my hair before but it eventually got cut out with hair cuts but people with long hair (shoulder length or more) don't really cut their hair. I suggest that you stop dying your hair or else it'll be hard to undo if you decide you're not happy with what you have.

You know what, it seems to be happening a lot more often recently. Like, it's becoming cool to be a social outcast all of a sudden. For instance: tweed, it's back in (I'm told by my homosexual Sarah Jessica Parker fan, he's pretty sharp on these things).

You think by dying your hair very dark blue you will be different? Walk around a School for a bit and then you will realize a ton of people have that hair color.

I don't know how big your school was but 25 kids is roughly a little less than .0125% of the kids at my school. There could be 25 kids at my school with that hair color and I'd never see them.

Also, I've probably seen several kids at my school with pink hair, but everytime I see it...I notice it because its different.
