Th e Doctor
Grenwalls are that with the t4 hunter aura, scentless potions, and 90+hunter. Stealing chaos tunnel green dragon kills from bots with a bob should be close to that as well. If you aren't doing dailies, Mtk, and herb farming you should be doing that as well. Boris5000
Ganodermics are roughly 1.6m/hr (on average) on budget gear. But you can often get 2m+ depending on seeds. Luck be a Lady
Lord Paul
Without juju, scroll of life, or greenfinger's aura, toadflax is a bit over 1m/hr currently. Get juju, scroll of life, and t1 greenfinger, and you'll make 2.2m/hr with snapdragons. Torstols are better actually if you are willing to possibly lose millions across a few runs. Dusk Souls
How do you calculate hourly profits fior herbs? And do those figures change a lot if I am missing trollheim patch?
Hedgehog
Missing the trollheim patch would be more than a 20% decrease in profit, so just unlock it. To calculate hourly profit for herbs, multiply profit/run by 12, since each run takes 5 minutes.
Lord Paul
That is the profit difference between trollheim and not (juju + scroll of life). Guam 29.00%Marrentill 29.11%Tarromin 29.07%Harralander 29.01%Ranarr 30.33%Spirit weed 29.18%Toadflax 29.25%Irit 29.00%Wergali 29.08%Avantoe 29.30%Kwuarm 29.30%Snapdragon 36.25%Cadantine 30.09%Lantadyme 33.80%Dwarf weed 38.23%Torstol 72.02%Fellstalk 30.46% And yes, just assume 5 minutes per herb run. I personally average a bit under 3 minutes, but that does not include getting the gear and I'm also on lunars with tele trollheim. Assassin1357
Take into account though that farming isn't a constant 2mli an hour, it will probably take you 2-3 days to make that depending on how many runs you do a day and I think 4 is about the most you could reasonably do. You should still do it, its just that I am tired of people making it seem like you will make 1-2mil an hour every hour you play.
Aiel
it's a legitimate claim. As you only actually spend ~5 minutes farming, that's the only time "used" for farming. You assume you'll be doing something else the rest of the time, even if that's logging out and doing something irl, not just standing around waiting for your herbs to grow. Also maximum reasonable herb runs/day is more like 8-10. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Also maximum reasonable herb runs/day is more like 8-10. You would have to be around your computer for 9-12 hours a day to be able to do that many runs, most people dont have that luxury. And I didn't say it wasn't a legitimate claim, I was saying people make it sound like you can make 2mil an hour every hour you are playing. That dont say that it adds up over time. Lord Paul
Well, it's the most accurate way to gauge whether or not herb farming is worth the time spent. Plenty of people value their time at over 2m/hr. If I said that herb farming makes you 1m/day, that's pretty meaningless unless I say that you have to do x number of runs. Powerfrog
Got yak? Frosts are like 3m/hour with yak and you don't need expensive gear at all. I agree that "farming is 2m/hour" is a poor way to put it. If i needed 10m in 5 hours, i could not get it by farming. It's much like saying that MTK is 20b/hour as it takes 1 second to click "collect" after a few months of managing it. Or corp is 500m/second if you only count the time it takes to die as it drops a divine sigil.
homer205
Powerfrog's examples are poor. The only way to improve the wording while remainning accurate (that I can think of) is to say that they are however much profit per run and that a run takes 5 minutes and can be done once every however long it is and it works out to x m/h. Lord Paul
"Assuming that you, the player, has little lag and access to some of the most basic teleports and a general knowledge of how to farm herbs successfully, you can roughly expect to complete an entire herb run circuit in 5 minutes time. (This time can further be reduced by using lunar spells.) Also, assuming that you use magic secateurs and super compost in addition to having unlocked scroll of life, on average, you will profit xxx from yyy herb per run. This profit can be further increased if you use remote farm or manually check your herbs for disease often. Additionally, a fairly substantial profit increase for the more valuable herbs can be had if you use the greenfingers aura. If you don't want to count time logged out as time spent, then multiply value xxx by 12 to determine how much gp/hr you can expect per unit of time logged in. Do note that herbs take approximately 80 minutes to grow, so count on actual average profits of xxx/0.75 if you want to determine how much money you'll be profiting from time logged in." Just wrote that up in a few minutes.. I'll have to start placing it in hide tags every time I mention herb farming. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

Aiel
...except that he shouldn't have to explain the concept of how you value time every time he wants to talk about herb farming.
