Melee training?

i haven't done many quests at all, but im working on my low skills o get all the req. i need, but i want to to branches of darkmeyer and defender of varrock fairly soon, so

 

which are better melee training xp, vyres or armored zombies?

Vyres, but there are better, even more afk, ones with lower requirements.

 

Dom tower dag sentiels for example. You can literally AFK them for an hour if you use vampirism and good armour. Or just afk them for 5 minutes at a time and heal + restore offensive prayers + pots for more xp

A much easier quest with lower requirements and greater reward than the other options.

Vyrewatches are the best exp/hr outside of dominion tower that you can get once your polearm is maxed with 500 corpses burnt. Armoured zombies are about 50 k less exp/hr, 300 k less in profit per hour but have the small benefit of dropping charms (not a lot) and effigies (extremely rare).

 

If however you just want pure melee exp dagannoth sentinels in dominion tower are about 70-90 k exp/hr better than Vyres if you lower their defense and don't care that the exp is 100% loss in terms of profit.
