Dreadnips and ranging

This really seems like a dumb question, but it needs an answer regardless so here it goes:

Can you deploy dreadnips while ranging the queen black dragon from a distance or do you need to go within her melee distance and stay there?

Pretty sure you can deploy them as long as you're attacking the monster.

Yes, however they travel very slowly, slower than normal walking speed... But I don't think it will be a problem as long as you're just out of her melee range.

Can't help you there, other than say that just going and getting a single inv of bane ore gave me 1.2k bolts (50 per ore, got just 24 for whatever reason), which doesn't take all that long.

Don't use dreadnips - they heal the queen.

What? That sounds so stupid that I must demand proof before believing it.

Yeah i find that hard to believe that dreadnips heal the queen, there are many videos of people using dreadnips....

I like to think of the Dark Bow like a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) - you get one shot and then you're screwed.

Titans and dreadnips may appear to heal the QBD, because after they attack the HP bar at the top of the screen might move towards the right instead of left, looking like it's actually filling up.

Actually, the HP bar itself is a bit laggy. Because it's an extra interface and not an actual HP bar, it reacts slowly to changes in the QBD's actual LP. So if you attacked the QBD and damaged her, the HP bar would change state from whatever it is (let's say length 1) to another slightly shorter bar (length 2). Now if your familiar/dreadnip attacks shortly after you, the HP bar lags a bit, so instead of the HP bar going from length 1 to length 2 from your attack and then to a shorter length (length 3 w/e), the HP bar goes from length 1 to whatever the dreadnip/familiar did (length 1.5 maybe).

This autocorrects after another attack is made, which will compensate for the supposedly reduced hit by having the HP bar drop a lot, even if you do almost no damage.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
