Godswords & Chaotics

DharoksWhip

Recommended Posts

Hey there, I have been testing the BETA Today and Yesterday... And I was wondering... ATM I use Whip and DFS, with a lot of expencive gear but Should I sell my berserker ring for a bandos godsword??? I mean they sound strong but I'm not sure. I only really want it for the Whirlwind Special move. =L.

O and another question: ATM I have 44 dungeoneering, with no tokens (spent all on EXP, I know I shouldn't have :C), is it worth going for chaotics?

Godswords are, as far as I know, not overpowered or all that great in the beta. They are extremely weak in the current game, apart from their special attacks.

And yes.

I've heard Great stories of the Chaotic Weaponry. But the hard bit is getting one :wall: .

Ya see, I'm level 44 Dungeoneering and I have NO TOKENS WHATSOEVER. (I spent them ALL on EXP >:C)

Somebody told me it was worth getting A Chaotic, But I don't get an answer to what one to use. NOTICE HOW I SAY "ONE", IF YOU SAY GET THEM ALL YOU HAVEN'T READ THE QUESTION PROPERLY :P. I've heard Maul hits high and fast in the BETA, But I've also heard The Chaotic Rapier is definately best. No matter which one you choose, it'll be appreciated. :) Please use the poll above, and Happy Voting :D

I've merged your two topics together since they are related to each other and I've edited the title to reflect this.

Still don't know how much it will be changed what with monster weaknesses and all. It seems that if you don't utilize the weakness of the monster, then you will be dealing little damage. Really, it depends how many monsters will be stab weak. And since you have a long way to go before your first chaotic, I would just wait until more concrete information is released.

With that having been said, rapier will *probably* still be a good first choice.

Working on max and completionist capes.

Godswords aren't the best, but I think they're going to have their uses. They're unique in being the strongest two-handed slashing weapon. Seeing as melee weapons can't change attack styles (e.g. godswords slash, rapiers stab, mauls crush) I'd imagine godswords would be good for monsters weak to slash.

This is all from the beta, of course. At the moment, godswords aren't worth having for anything but their special attack. Some of them have handy specials, namely the bandos godsword - handy for dropping a big monster's defence.

I hear Dharok's has very high hits because the lp boost translates into more str boost. Not sure though.

I'm thinking the LP change in combination with the 2h abilities (Especially the massive damage in 1 hit ones, but not forgetting the "take no damage" ones for optimal safe dharoking) could make it amazing.

I didn't sign up to the beta because i was kinda relying on runeshark and the sort for this type of information.

Dharok's is great in the beta. I'm not sure if the set bonus affects your abilities (I kinda doubt it does) but the auto attacks add a lot of damage. I was hitting up to about 2k damage while at low health.

Side note: Seeing as protection prayers don't negate 100% damage, staying at low health with Dharok's is much riskier now. But it's really intense and exciting!

Yeah i can see it being less useful for min-max training but a lot more useful for bossing and pvp, i mean if it's general DPS has increased significantly it may be a good weapon to just use as a normal weapon ignoring the effect (Well, staying as low as possible without taking risks) and then using the defensive bonuses to make this even better.

Also with the nerfed protection and increased damage, doesn't this just make Soulsplit the best for literally everything?

Yeah, main issue is that protect prayers aren't 100% anymore either :P. Apparently you can 100% SS Nex solo now.
