chenw
Hey all, I have let my membership run on for a while now and have amassed about 100k Loyalty points. I am considering spending them on Auras, but I have a couple of questions regarding them before making any purchase: 1. According to the information I have, if I happen to lose an aura, I would have to go back to Xuan to replace it. Does replace here mean 'Free' or do I have to buy the aura again? 2. Do the auras count as items (IE take up bank spaces, dropped/destroyed when killed, etc?) 3. I am currently looking at the Resourceful Aura as a possible purchase, if not at least for the increased chance of getting more red sandstones, opinions on this? 4. Lastly, apart from JoT and possibly Wisdom, what other auras would you get for skilling? assuming no preferance to any skill. Thanks! 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. muggiwhplar
1. Auras are replaced for free. 2. Yes they count as items and remain equipped/activated if you die with an active aura. 3 and 4. Read this.

muggiwhplar
Why's that?
Hedgehog
Aura's aren't additive, so all the skill auras are overestimated.
muggiwhplar
Ah that's too bad.
Hedgehog
It really is a shame, especially since it took so long to figure it out. However, there is a possibility that some are additive, since Jagex isn't known for their consistency.
Bluud
However if you do die in wild, you will lose an aura if wearing it and will have to go to Xuan to get a replacement Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
country devil
I would highly suggest jack if trades and greenfingers(the higher the better) if you do farming/herb runs
Artemis1330
Aura's aren't additive, so all the skill auras are overestimated. Think I'm missing the obvious, but what do you mean by that exactly? I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
Cow
That means that the +3/5/7/10 percent chance of successful skilling is not added to your current success rate. The success rate for rocktails is only 10-15% (Idk even), so making that 20-25% would greatlyincrease the xp/hour. Unfortunately, auras multiply the success rate. So, instead of 10% becoming 20% success, the chance becomes 10%(1.1)=11%. Slightly underwhelming.
Hedgehog
It's not multiplicative either. It's most likely an att roll mod. But we won't know for a little while.
Platinum_Myr
It's not multiplicative because testing has shown it's better then that, but it's not additive either because it doesn't increase the total by quite enough, if I understand it enough..
