February 3, 200620 yr Article You can read about feelings on it all and then the news article there. In summation, the student body held a walkout because one of our janitors got fired. Pretty much want to see what people think about it all.
February 3, 200620 yr i never heard of a janitored being liked so much to get a walkout out him geting fired. But im sure that the firedrill was planned by the school because are school didnt something similar when there was going to be a sit in for a senior lounge.

That was my original thought to, but I've been told the kid who got arrested for pulling the fire alarm so it obviously was someone.
February 3, 200620 yr must of been against the walkout or an acciendent. One kid at my school pulled the fire alarm 3 times. onces to get out of class early, and the other two were on acciendent. wasnt a very smart kid though.
February 3, 200620 yr All of the janitors at my school are SOO nice. There is one in particular who everyone loves, and i wouldn't be suprised if something like this happened at my school. Being a private school of roughly 1300 students, we're all pretty close to the staff.
February 3, 200620 yr It's great that you're sticking up for this guy who seems a great person. The thing is, you have to disassociate yourselves with people who do things like the fire drill stuff you mentioned. They can and most likely will jeapordise your cause. It gives the people who sacked the janitor justification to ignore your pleas, because some minority of idiot thinks breaking the law will help. An extreme example in the UK was a group called Fathers 4 Justice. They campaigned an extremely important cause; basically, equality in parental consent for mothers and fathers (the judiciary system heavily favours mothers here). Alas, some minority who claimed (which has been unconfirmed) to have been associated with F4J had a plan to kidnap the Prime Minister's son. The leader himself, dispite distancing himself from the incident, realised that the group had been tarnished and damaged beyond repair and promptly disbanded the group. Don't let people wreck the campaign for you too. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
February 4, 200620 yr I needn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t be at school more than 5 mins to find out everyone̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s favorite janitor had been fired or resigned. If he did resign, that'd be a very poor thing to do, making him come back... I just posted something! ^_^ to the terrorist...er... kirbybeam.
February 4, 200620 yr Yeah, it depends if he resigned or was fired. If it's the later, than I admire the kids. a bit on the topic of janitors, we have one janitor at our school that flirts with all of the girls. It's funny because one time my friend was in the hall (my friend has long hair, usualy in a ponytail) and the guy yells out "Hey, ponytail!" so I guess he than found out my friend works at krogers, and at a later time said "hey ponytail, you wanna go kroger'ing?" :|. Than at our lunch table he was making fun of something, and rubbing his finger on his nipple, and the jaintor walking by said "you need to tilt your head back while your doing that." After that he told the principle about the janitor, hasn't happened again. :D

Edit: Ah, well I guess if it's excessive and in the wrong context, yeah. Gamertag: King Arizona

It was realy just getting on our nerves. Was funny the first time...
February 4, 200620 yr We had this hall monitor at my high school, everyone loved her. We said "Forget counselors, we're going to Louis," Louis was like the mother of everyone. We could always talk to her about anything, and she also made some rocking cake that she brought in alot. Well end of my Junior year, she gets sacked because of "Lack of funds," we were all pretty upset but we figure, money's tight now in Michigan, nothing we can really do. We come back to school and I found out that some woman took her place. I did what any well rounded student who loved Louis and her cake would have done. I started a petition, got it signed by about 900 kids out of 1200 kids in our school. I even went to my mate that was in a GFX art class, and had him print me up 25, "Bring back Louis" t-shirts, we had her number put on the back of the shirts from when she was in high school and played softball. She was awesome, by October of 2005, we got rid of the other lady and had our Louis back. It takes planning, not severe action, and I don't think my principal liked the huge stack of signed papers I put on his desk, along with a nice five page paper on why we need Louis back.
