EoC - Korasi + EEE or Z spear

Just wondering which is better in general for your average everyday slaying. I do not have chaotics (working on it). I do have Uni and vamp aura for healing, so I don't have to rely on eee (and I haven't figured out how it heals in EoC anyway). Thanks in advance

EDIT: Assume that I will be using momentum for tasks

Seeing as they are all around the same level it makes little difference in terms of damage output as 2h = dual wield within same tier.

As for general efficiency it's a bit of a mixed bunch.

Kosari is a stab weapon, as is z spear.

Excalibur is a slash.

In terms of maximising your slayer you want to have a setup (ideally dual wield or 2h) exclusive to slash, one for stab and one for crush. Plus a mage setup (for use with air, water, earth or fire as required) plus a crossbow setup, a bow setup and a thrown wep setup.

In terms of no chaotics I'd suggest aiming for:

1) Whip + Excal for slash

2) Kosari + d dagger for stab

3) Verac flail or torag hammer for crush.

4) Ideally dragon crossbow, but rune would suffice. 2h or dual wield.

5) Sagies for thrown

6) Crystal bow for arrows

7) Polypore Staff and/or Master wand for magic

Though in time the ideal to progress to would be:

1) Dual cls

2) Dual c rapier

3) C maul

4) dual ccb

5) Sagies

6) Zaryte bow

7) Virtus wand/Chaotic Staff/Arma bstaff/Polypore are all kinda good choices

Thanks for the response. In terms of the chaotics that you have listed, which would be most beneficial to get first. I know the prevailing wisdom has been rapier, but after EoC, it almost seems that ccb or staff might be better options.

Also, sara sword provides a 2h crush option at the 75 tier

I'd say ccb is the best bet for first up personally simply because bolt racks suck compared to normal bolts, which makes Karil's (level 70 tier) a bit of a bad choice.

Then Armadyl (other level 70) and Dragon (level 60) are very pricey compared to other options at same tier which means you end up stuck on lvl 50 rune cbow that only goes up to emerald bolt (assuming you don't have the big bank for expensive ones).

Edit: Oh totally forgot ss exists for crush! I spose gs would also offer an alternate to whip for slash too.

There's a possibility that dual cls/cls + eee is not as good as vine whip + eee, so I'd get those last until that gets cleared up.

Maul is the only tier 80 crush weapon so definitely get that.

Dual crossbows has a great ult which hits for 35% of your opponent's lp three times iirc.

Sara sword is crush and its price is around 1.7-1.8m right now. Not sure if it's stable or going slightly up.

I'd vote maul for first chaotic, then dual crossbows.

What good is dual crossbows for, other than Unload? Wouldn't any other tier of dual wield range do the same damage for that ultimate anyway?

Ability damage stems from attack power.

Range attack power is a combination of weapon and ammo.

Lower tier can't use such good ammo.

Atleast thats how I understood it to work.

The ultimate does 20% of the opponent's max LP per hit. Ammo has nothing to do with it. However, I'd imagine accuracy would have an effect on that ultimate, so I guess that's a reason (but not a huge one) to get dual chaotics.

Besides the ultimate, dual wield range seems awful. 2H level 70's look a lot more powerful from what I've tested, due to the "only main hand damage is calculated in abilities, unless otherwise stated" clause. The only reason dual wield melee doesn't suck (as hard) as dual magic or range, is because it has a sizable amount of dual wield only abilities to make up for the weaker main hand damage.

The sizeable here have a meaning of 1 Basic (Havoc or Decimation), 2 Thresholds (only one of them is really useable) and 2 Ultimates, one of which does not use weapon damage either.
