Which one will have more dps under momentum - the Dragon 2H or the Arma crossbow ?

Dragon limbs are dropped by tormented demons, and the completed crossbows are not tradeable.

It also depends on the bolts you are planning to use.

 

In theory, the Dragon 2h crossbow cannot fire enchanted Diamond, Dragonstone or Onyx bolts.

 

In practice, I think there is a bug that it cannot fire T60 bolts either, so no enchanted Emeralds or Rubies.

 

Armadyl Crossbow can fire nearly all bolts, enchanted Onyx, bolt racks and Royal bolts being the only bolts it cannot fire.

Get Karil's crossbow, better than any of the previous options mentioned. Deals more damage with abilities due to being 2h, and is a flat tier 70 weapon. Dual wielding Armadyl crossbow with a rune offhand will hamper the damage output of the armadyl crossbow (due to being limited to tier 50 ammo by the offhand), and abilities will not do as much due to the crossbow being 1h.

 

 

... However, to answer your original question, I believe Dragon 2h crossbow will have more DPS under momentum, discounting overkill.

Is it me or the black salamander sounds like an awfully good weapon.

700 accuracy; and a total of 1599 damage with the tar

 

The dragon 2h is 600 accuracy and 1275 damage if you use runite bolts (or broad for that matter)

Yeah, after reading through the other topics here I realised that Black salamander is basically a really cheap substitute for Karil's crossbow :s

 

That'd be an excellent choice for a level 70 ranged weapon.

Nope, Salamanders are exclusively Bolt weapons, animations now do not give a correct indication of what element it is. This applies very heavily to magic abilities, where the element is based on the spell you have set to auto-cast, not the animation (EG if you have water surge on autocast, your Dragon Breath ability is counted as water, despite you breathing fire).

Well most of the bolt-weak monsters fight with magic anyways, so 1-2 squares away from them is the same as 7-8

You can definitely stand more than just a few spaces away. I can stand in the middle of the mature grotworms near the qbd portal and hit pretty much all of them without moving much (and then only because the pillars block an attack).
