LittleDj
Note: This may belong in another section of the forums but I thought this was most appropriate. MODS: If this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it. If you are 99 Woodcutting and want to help, then keep on reading... (others can keep on reading too)Well, I am currently trying to get my Woodcutting to 99.. I've been playing for quite a while, and haven't been able to get a 99.So, I am trying Woodcutting. I am currently Woodcutting yews with a dragon hatchet. My Woodcutting level is 82(about to be 83 in an hour or so).I just wanted to hear from actual players and not the guides they put up on tip.it. How long will it take me aprox. to get to 99 and by doing what?Help would be appreciated and so would be a table or a list of what to do at what level until I achieve my 99. I have never felt so devoted to get a 99 before. Thanks so much.-LittleDj
Mylez
I'm 97. Currently casually reaching 99 by doing a few hours a day. My first suggestion is to move away from Yews. They are not fast, at all. Ivy is the best exp - try it. I'm currently getting around 65k/hr. Alternatively you could try Willows, again quite good exp. You don't need me to do the maths for you, if you obtain 50k/hr it takes 10 hours for 500k exp, 100 hours for 5m exp. If you need 10m to 99, it will take 200 hours or so, i,e. 40 days of 5 hours a day. Good luck!
Hedgehog
Arctic pines. Here's the first post-eoc video that I found. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFFCdapLAl4 He's lying about the xp rate, but from the 30 seconds or so I watched, his technique appears right. Basically, just cut them and drop using the action bar. Expect 100k+ xp/hour. Ivy, willows, yews, maples, etc. are all bad ideas.
Huge Ego
I have 64m Woodcutting exp and honestly i'd Woodcut arctic pines but try and get a inferno adze it boosts the xp an hr up alot :) it burns logs that it cuts so it less time dropping the logs even though thats easy now lol.. Also, use urns if you do arctic pines.
Quyneax
Completely agree with the above two, just note that adze mostly boosts overall xp gains by adding firemaking xp. Looking at your stats, I'd say that getting a 99 is going to be a lot of time spent and xp gained for nearly no benefit. You're better off getting 1600 or even 1700 total in the same amount of time. Of course, you may prefer one high stat. If I may recommend a 99: Summoning. Steel titan is amazing (more powerful than you are atm). 2 Supporter of Zaros | Quest Cape owner since 22 may 2010 | No skills below 99 | Total level 2595 | Completionist Cape owner since 17th June 2013 | Suggestions 99 summoning (18th June 2011, previously untrimmed) | 99 farming (14th July 2011) | 99 prayer (8th September 2011) | 99 constitution (10th September 2011) | 99 dungeoneering (15th November 2011) 99 ranged (28th November 2011) | 99 attack, 99 defence, 99 strength (11th December 2011) | 99 slayer (18th December 2011) | 99 magic (22nd December 2011) | 99 construction (16th March 2012) 99 herblore (22nd March 2012) | 99 firemaking (26th March 2012) | 99 cooking (2nd July 2012) | 99 runecrafting (12th March 2012) | 99 crafting (26th August 2012) | 99 agility (19th November 2012) 99 woodcutting (22nd November 2012) | 99 fletching (31st December 2012) | 99 thieving (3rd January 2013) | 99 hunter (11th January 2013) | 99 mining (21st January 2013) | 99 fishing (21st January 2013) 99 smithing (21st January 2013) | 120 dungeoneering (17th June 2013) | 99 divination (24th November 2013) Tormented demon drops: twenty effigies, nine pairs of claws, two dragon armour slices and one elite clue | Dagannoth king drops: two dragon hatchets, two elite clues, one archer ring and one warrior ring Glacor drops: four pairs of ragefire boots, one pair of steadfast boots, six effigies, two hundred lots of Armadyl shards, three elite clues | Nex split: Torva boots | Kalphite King split: off-hand drygore mace 30/30 Shattered Heart statues completed | 16/16 Court Cases completed | 25/25 Choc Chimp Ices delivered | 500/500 Vyrewatch burned | 584/584 tasks completed | 4000/4000 chompies hunted

LittleDj
I am taking your suggestions and trying to put them into action. I have leveled up to 83 Woodcutting. Hopefully all of these suggestions will get me up to 99 Woodcutting soon.Any more tips would be great! :)
Krazyglue
At about 80 i did ivy for the rest of the way, I liked the xp and no dropping anything. Also you should make sure to remember your strung rabbits foot for increased bird nest drop rate no matter where ya train.
ThePerfectg
I would do arctic pines too! they're super great! and don't forget to use woodcutting urns! and you can drop the logs before you finish, so you don't lose any xp/s!!! ALSO if you only drop 3 at a time you don't miss a stroke, anymore than that counts as one. so drop 3 every time you get 1 (: GOODLUCK!
LittleDj
At about 80 i did ivy for the rest of the way, I liked the xp and no dropping anything. Also you should make sure to remember your strung rabbits foot for increased bird nest drop rate no matter where ya train. I am doing yews+ivy as of now. Whenever I get a full inventory of yews, I go chop a few ivy, then bank. [When I do this, I use the rabbits foot.(Thanks to you :) ) I recently got a Red Bird's Egg. I don't have 70 summ so it's going to stay in my bank.] The only reason I'm doing yews is I need to make some money getting to 99..Any suggestions that will make me money while getting to 99 will be very appreciated! Estoc
If you did an hour of arctic pines then an hour of your best money making method you'd end up with more money over the same period of time and almost certainly better xp/hr. Don't make the same mistake all of us made by assuming it's a good idea to try to profit off of woodcutting. The Marquis
Here's a good guide on the Archive of Wisdom by Troacctids:http://forum.tip.it/topic/201643-troacctids-woodcutting-guide/ A lot of it is outdated, however the bit about Eucs and the profit from them is still quite accurate :) Dark MarquisVisit my tiny blog.
