January 5, 201313 yr Nope, all untrimmed capes trim themselves as soon as you get 99, even ones you have equipped on. The only incidence where I am not certain is when you lose members and get your second 99 on f2p world, but I am pretty sure it trims it there also. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. January 5, 201313 yr I've heard that a keepsake key works, I'm not sure though. The Runar's (OSRS) DIY blog - most viewed Blogscape blog ever! Contract? /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
January 5, 201313 yr The keepsake key is the only way that works now. There used to be a glitch where you could keep one or several untrimmed capes, but they patched that a year or two ago.

January 6, 201313 yr It is a micro transaction item that allows you to make a graphical override of most any itemslot. For example, I used a keepsake key on my Tricorn Hat. This allows me to wear other useful helmets, but it looks like I'm wearing my Tricorn.
January 6, 201313 yr I got my 99 fm whilst wearing my untrimmed cooking cape. It remained untrimmed until I did an action, like an emote or a teleport or something, but as soon as you do anything useful it trims itself. So its possible if you don't do anything or log out. Not recommended haha
