f4stown
Yo. After EOC I'm really confused how to train combat skills. My levels are: 50 att n def, 72 str, 75 hp, 94 mage, 79 range - cmbt: 146. HOW i can really fast and nice get str xp? I went to flesh crawlers and get like 1k xp in 10 minutes... What should i do to improve training? Thanks. Fire Essling
I know giant spiders in the third level of the Stronghold of Security used to be good xp p/h before eoc.I have not been F2P in many years though so that could have changed since EOC. Kaida23
You need to make sure you take the monster's weakness(es) into account and choose your weapon accordingly. Zantareous has made a pretty good list of F2P monsters and their weaknesses along with suggestions on what to train on here: http://forum.tip.it/topic/315670-f2p-combat-training-plus-monsters-and-their-weaknesses/ Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually... decebal
High levels nowadays train at deadly red spiders. If you do train there there for fast xp, for the love of God use a rune 2H sword. I see so many players use a scimitar and shield there then complain the xp is too slow. It is at its fastest when abilities are used with a 2h, at the expense of damage taken and ability to afk. Or as another alternative to this you can use the monsters crush weakness and use the rune warhammer or whatever was mentioned in the guide Kaida linked. It's a good guide that I've found useful for when i was getting adapted back to EOC. Summoning help:[hide=Wio, lol][/hide]
Hedgehog
Using a rune warhammer would cut your dps by like 40%.
decebal
Using a rune warhammer would cut your dps by like 40%.If you're comparing it to a rune 2H, yes. Theoretically, however, a rune warhammer is much stronger than a rune scimitar, especially against deadly red spiders when using abilities. They are not just weak to crush, but the rhammer also has higher damage per swing, therefore an ability can do higher damage as speed doesn't matter. In fact, if you have someone that is weak to slash and you insist in using a shield, a rune battleaxe would be better than a rune scim, as it does 206.9 more dps (745 dam/3.6 second), while an rscim only does 200 more dps (480 dam/2.4 seconds). Using abilities further increases the difference in damage between a scimitar and a battleaxe.
Slayer_Jesse
so, in general, slower weapons are better? (including membs?) Vezon Dash
Not necessarily as it all depends on whether you are using abilities or you are using momentum.
Hedgehog
Like I said, using a warhammer instead of a 2h is a bad decision, regardless of how it compares to a scimitar.
