It'd help if we knew what your other binds are and how many items you can actually bind...

That honestly isn't relevant in order for you to answer the question, but since you want to know.

Shadow Silk Hood, Prom 2h, Prom Chain, Prom Skirt, Primal Arrows, Sag Bow, Primal Kiteshield, Gorgonite Boots.

I can only wear 3 binds at the moment since I have sub-90 dungeoneering.

I guess it depends on the floor. 1-35 there aren't many mages, but quite a bit of undead, so go with hood for those. 36-60 there tend to be a lot more mages (necromancers, reborn etc.) so your hood gets deactivated more often. Gosh, it's so great being able to change your binds at will.

I was thinking something along these lines, but it is always nice to have confirmation from someone else. Thanks for answering the question.

How is it not relevant? It makes all the difference in the world. You should bind best melee wep(2h>maul>spear), CCS/sag short and any body or hood, hood being better for survivalist purposes. Although there is no consensus on binds for EoC, some very experienced dungeoneers have found range and mage to be generally better than melee in dungeoneering(inculing ring abilities). I myself have seen that slower weapons(weapons with higher base bonuses) will have an advantage over faster ones assuming one uses abilities alone, thus making mage and melee prefrable.

xpx, magic sucks for dungeoneering now. It's capped at tier 80 damage. Ranged/melee hybrid is best.

So basically, 2h, shortbow, body or hood, blood neck, then hood or body for 5th.

Personally I prefer a platebody because you can't be one-shot by skills doors that way - hood doesn't have enough lp bonus. Survival-wise they're pretty equal.

Platebody gives you higher all-round accuracy than Sagittarian top assuming equal use of ranged and melee. Ranged armour is worse for melee than melee armour for ranged, just like magic armour is better for melee than for ranged.

Yeah, i forgot about being capped by the spell. Still, magic is by far the best in f2p.

When was this about f2p dungeoneering?

I wouldn't expect any less of you than to understand the value of knowledge.

In any case, here is a link to some useful information on binds in EoC: http://www.xp-waste....inds-t3423.html

While magic might have a lower hit bonus than melee/range(assuming same speed), melee ring is basically useless(small accuracy increase), and thus mage is still very potent(for some reason, i can't seem to find the damage bonus on CCS, but assuming it's around 250, mage still gets around 1.7k damage bonus, 2k assuming t10 blitz), that is compared to around 2.3k for prim 2h. Also, all ranged weak monsters are really weak to range(no bolts, thrown) and mage weak monsters are ´´weaker´´ to mage than melee weak monsters are to all melee, for which attack style still makes a significant difference.
