Arceus
Why do I have a feeling that next issue of the Tip It Times has an article regarding The World Wakes =/Why that face, haha? Miss Lioness
Why do I have a feeling that next issue of the Tip It Times has an article regarding The World Wakes =/Why that face, haha? It seems getting a bit dull, Articles about things that are just about to be released or just have passed... Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Alg
It seems getting a bit dull, Articles about things that are just about to be released or just have passed...Suggestions? I get the feeling some of us are as tired of this as you, but I for one have no idea what any of you want to read. I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
Ts_Stormrage
Also; everything else seems to have been done already... So if you come up with an old topic, you gotta have a new angle... thejollyroger
No, I was pointing out that he thought we shouldn't be ashamed of those who farm gold to sell it, then proceeds to say he doesn't like Zybez because it displays gold selling adverts. I think you might have misunderstood. The way I read it, as he was replying to Winlo, who said she was Chinese (and from what I gather, sounds like an honest, legitimate player), was that she should not be ashamed, individually speaking, for the actions of fellow citizens who have decided to goldfarm. Correct me if I'm wrong-- English isn't a first language for Dracae or Winlo? I suppose a few misunderstandings would be expected... but I thought they were both reasonably clear. I wish I spoke my secondary language that well. The other thing, if I understand it right, is we've got a difference of Eastern and Western paradigms; the Eastern viewpoint is more collective, and so feeling ashamed of the actions of a few WOULD be understandable. There's more concern how the actions of a few reflect on the reputation of the many. You don't do things that would reflect poorly on your family, your company, your peers, etc. The Western viewpoint is more individualistic-- people are more assumed to "do their own thing". Being in the United States, I can understand that one fairly well, with that "rugged individualism" outlook. I'm sure this is an oversimplification but that's how I understood the argument to be and I don't think either of them were saying anything in favor of goldfarming, RWT, or other forms that could be considered cheating by Jagex, and I think they more or less said so specifically. Cfrim
No. A simpler explanation could very well be that it is simplicity itself that they want. Back in '07 I knew pretty much everything there was to know about RuneScape, including much of its lore. The EoC changed almost everything...How a change in game mechanics, especially into a simple hotkey -game style, bars people from immersing into a roleplaying game? Seems like this is more of an issue of people getting fed up into a game they've been playing for years. I don't feel like my interest into Gielinor has changed with EoC, quite the opposite, it took me back into it's depths. It seems getting a bit dull, Articles about things that are just about to be released or just have passed...It's Tip.it Times, as in news, something upcoming you little troll. Don't you find it fascinating that the signatures tend to take more space than posts themselves
Dracae
Seems like this is more of an issue of people getting fed up into a game they've been playing for years. That is basicaly my idea on the main reason why most players quit RS ( for a wile ). @ thejollyroger English is indeed not the first language I learned, It came after my native Dutch and German, but has overtaken the latter big time, if only because of runescape. My spelling is still atrocious, but then there is spellcheck.. which I need on RS also.. but don't have. I try to make the sentences flow like they should, but I also think the idiosincrasies are like someones 'voice' and shouldnt all be edited out. @ Miss Lioness I have not written that many articles for Tip.it, I write when I get 'inspirered' which often can be read as 'annoyed' . Seems natural that this most times will be about new developements.Don't kill me.. but I send one in about the latest video also. lol..We will see if its good enough. Kaida23
I also think the idiosincrasies are like someones 'voice' and shouldnt all be edited out. The author's voice and style is is very important, and we always do our best to maintain it when editing articles. :) Check out my blog to read the Adventures of a Big Damn (F2P) Hero. THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P. So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...
