Swiller2
Recently unlocked the Pincers region and want to make sure I have the best setup for trade goods missions. Right now I'm upgrading basic crew members, besides them what others should I be trying to get? Oxhead, Judge of Dice, Jade Merchants? I'm kinda clueless when it comes to the specialty crew members, help! Thanks :)
chenw
5 of each Harem, Band and Tiger riders, 3 Judge, 3 merchant and 4 Oxhead is a good starting place. Adjust as you see fit, but I would not recommend using 4 jods/merchs or less than 2. 1 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Emaxganis
While you are still building stuff for the last region i'd have 6 of each basic, 3 jod 4 ox and 2 merchants. Once you're done i would personally swap 2 ox for 2 merch. You will be using them most of the time anyways when all you have left to look for is trade goods voyages Rule #14 - Don't argue with trolls, it means they win. Quyneax
How are you fitting 27 crew members into 25 slots, Emaxganis? Imo, 2 merchants is too little, I can usually send out at least 3 voyages which are good with merchants at once, if I valued steel enough to not reroll all but the last batch it'd be more. But once you get to the trade good-only stage, more than three missions at once that you care about (plate, laquer, chi, bones) is pretty rare, steel and spices are just little bonusus, not really worth having merchants for. You dont need any resource at all anyways, why not put in a merchant and expect extra trade goods in return? What would you possibly gain by not sending a merchant (Besides a little higher success rate, which doesnt make that much of a difference IMO) Rule #14 - Don't argue with trolls, it means they win. Saradomin_Mage
An extra 9 spice is worth all of 18k I think; I guessing it's not exactly worth sweating over, compared to the much higher value of even a single ancient bone/armour good. 1 In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers. Quyneax
9 spices is worth so little that I imagine an increase of the average success chance of your other voyages is worth more. Merchants do not ever boost success rate.
