July 6, 201313 yr ok so i have a mainhand ccb but not enuf tokkens for offhand one so i was wondering....does offhand weapon matters on range dps or is it the same for all 3 styles? also if i use runexbow can i use royal bolts with it? thanks
July 6, 201313 yr Can't answer your first question with confidence (I would assume yes it matters) but rune crossbow does not use royal bolts. A rune crossbow is terrible anyway if you have the level for better. July 6, 201313 yr Crossbows changed a lot in EOC, and it's one of my pet peeves. Rune xbows lost access to most useful enchanted gem-tipped bolts, including mithril emerald (e). i thought if you're using abilities your offhand doesnt have to be able to use the ammo but it still works? just not with standard attacks, or have they fixed this? I think so, but I'm not sure. Me... I'm saving up for dual ccbs. More since Karil's pistol xbows were changed to take only bolt racks.
July 6, 201313 yr Offhand don't affect dps for range. You can have a ccb+runecb with royal bolts and do just as well as dual ccbs. You won't be able to momentum. You need to keep constantly using abilities because if the offhand goes to fire, you'll get a chat box warning that your weapon isn't strong enough for the ammo and will stop attacking.
