July 16, 201312 yr Author Thank you Kimberly :). Glaiven boots give more armor and life than Armadyl which can be nice when fighting multiple monsters at once; however, I did say they can be changed out, and I mentioned that the barrow gloves were only decent and can be upgraded. You don't have to bring any food at all, but I like to bring them in case I'm not paying attention and I notice my health is low and want a quick HP boost. It's my personal method that others can use for guidance and tweak with their own personal likes and play styles :). The basic idea is to use the best range gear you have or whichever gear fits your style. Some people like a more defensive approach, and others like the more offensive approach.
