Are Rings (i) worth getting?

Since EOC and The World Wakes, I'm going to have to say probably not.

The World Wakes will give you a Sixth-Age Circuit, 2.7 crit for all 3 styles and 12 armor. Onyx Ring (I) is 2.7 for the 3 styles and 22 armor for comparison.

The style-specific rings give you 2.7 crit for their style, while the (I) versions give 3.0. Berserker Ring gives 2.2 to each crit and 5 armor, and the (I) gives 2.5 to each with 18 armor.

This also in light of the fact that pretty soon Player-Owned Ports V2 will introduce what they're calling level 85 rings, so I suspect those will be far better if not at least equivalent.

It takes a very long time to get 300 rank in Mobilizing Armies and is considered by most to be an unbearable slog. However, once you unlock the ability to get one ring you essentially unlock all of the others as well.

I would have to agree with the group, that it is not worth the trouble.

One of the biggest issues with MA is the fact that it is fairly hard to find people who are willing to play it. I have known people who have ended up paying people to play against them since they could not attract others to play with them.

Put on a movie and AFK. After a couple of movies, you'll have your rank. :P. Last time I had to do it a few weeks ago (after falling asleep doing slayer and losing my seers), mid-day there was barely enough to get games going. Often had to wait a few minutes for more people if some left. But still, while watching a movie it's not that unbearable since it's entirely AFK (bombing yourself).

Imbued ruby or imbued dragonstone makes you protect another item. Useful for sure.

If you loved STR bonus pre-EOC, you want these rings otherwise just get TWW ring.

Anyhow if you want to do a few games PM me ingame: fear my fork, I haven't done it much but I love strategy games so I could waste a few hours on this with you. Otherwise if i'm not on go to the RSOF forums and to the D'n'D subsection, there's a whole list there of FC/CC's that are keeping things like these alive :)

It's one of these things that is technically worth getting before maxing combat, if you are getting them at all - the more training you have to do, the more time that .3% crit can save you. That said, you will lose so little time doing MA after you get a completionist cape, compared to doing it before max combat, that I would't worry either way.

Pre-EoC, the +4 strength bonus was significant and it would save you several hours of training attack and strength.
