Tim
At the moment I'm 400k off 90 Farming. I'm currently doing a 5x Magic Tree, 5x Palm tree and Calquat run per day, with ~2 runs of x4 Torstol herb patches. I'm wondering what else can I do to maximize my farming exp to make a large difference, or is that about as high as I can manage? I haven't unlocked the 5th Herb plant on Troll Stronghold yet plus I'm usually only able to fetch 2 lap runs a day due to IRL commitments. Also I understand spirit tree's are good, however I don't think I have the necessary combat skills to obtain the seeds from slayer, as shown on my RSN link thingy to the left. Is there another alternative I can use to get them with my skills? I'm close to unlocking the 2nd patch. Popoto.~<
Squakus
All my spirit tree seeds came from mtk nests. You could try farming snape grass in all the allotments for some extra xp, but I don't know how much extra xp that would give you. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero. Ensure you are not a social situation. Bxpprod
Extra magic tree run/day assuming you can get online for it (1 morning 1 night) and aren't screwed by farm ticks etcMight be worth downgrading (xp-wise) from torstol to dwarf or lanta as they offer much more profit (albeit at a slight expense to xp) to cover costs of above. As with ^ the vast majority of my spirit seeds were through MTK (set to maples). This also occasionally brings in magic/palm seeds. Sidenote - why only 5 palms? Sy_Accursed
Yeah the main thing you can do by the sounds of it is use the 6th fruit tree patch in the herblore habitat. Sy_Accursed
^Adv Logs shows Roving Elves and Regicide completed. So elf is perfectly accessible, the fruit tree patch people tend to miss is the herblore habitat cause its new and not in a lot of the older farm run type guides. Miss Lioness
One successful day of warbands with 75/75 farming supplies nets around 360k at 99. As you are 89, this should still net quite a chunk. EDIT: switched the 8 and the 9 :) Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. J a m e s
Note that farming is by far the most inefficient skill to use warbands on - do it only if you're desperate. noobs crowding hill giants? not on my watch
khandajatt
Umm no... If u consider two variables.... Time and money... Farming is the choice to go becuase the other skills offered at wb only require money which u can make easily. Not to mention u can do wb for farming go plant and then pvm to make money for other wb skills
Hedgehog
Nope, farming is the closest to the productivity of warbands

khandajatt
Mining is afkable lrc lfm ez pz....i nvr used wb on anything other than farming 300k+ exp on full 75/75 in less than 20mins is well worth it instead of waiting 3 days to get the same amount of exp by spending and avg of 125k/tree (considering magic n palm) and u wuld have to plant 30 so do the math. Unless ofc u wuld game for 8hrs where u wuld do 3-4 herb runs which will get u anywhere from 10k to 30k exp depending on ur herb production. Still not that much. Now if u done wb gotten all 3 camps for farm plus u did tree run thats easily close to 500k exp in a day. Saved you abt 3 days right there which u can use for mining and other skills. Sy_Accursed
^Just because you did it that way and can throw some numbers up does not mean it is good The metagame numbers on income vs xp rates etc make farming one of the worst options to do for warbands.Mining is top dog, Smithing is close second.Construction, Herblore and Farming all languish far below in the land of not strictly worth doing in metagame terms. Metagame takes in far more things than simply this gives x xp and this gives y xp.In the time your trees are growing you can make far more money than the seeds cost and all told taking a little longer is not a bad thing for farming - its not like its hard work its a simple waiting game so the actual time spent training is tiny. Doing like 3 or 4 tree runs to equal warbands xp takes maybe 20 minutes, where as doing the warbands themselves usually eats up a solid 30-40mins. So you actually spend more time training it regardless of the fact in pure linear dates you can get lvls sooner. Compared to other warband skills where you can get more xp than you would get spending a whole day training the skill non-stop which is where it becomes better because it saves you a massive number of hours.
