terley
making a freebie for jakey (teenageloser) cus he donated loads in my time of need   His brief minus character descriptions; Outside, on a street, street lights on. Outside, arm around his shoulder and his around mine, in close background, the a lighted up sign saying "Pub" and other buildings up and down the street. Nothing else, you can think of. Make it look like a street in england though, so you get the idea mate. Have us both smiling/laughing with a mugs of beer in our hands. Just the layout blocked out, not using linework. Done a face and hands, man Terley, you gotta speed up... (talking to myself again :? ) Crits would be really useful, tell me what you think of the layout :) . Atm im gonna work on the characters, worry about the background later, but im hoping of having some other characters / objects behind. cheers :D

misterxman
Nice technique with making silouettes first, cool angle on the BG. Looking a bit drunk there from the way the characters leaning. :P Pixel sigs by me.Pixel Art
terley
This is how my last sig turned out, to those who may think its a bad technique. To.. Jdprs
Not a bad way to start them it seems. I always just draw them on paper then scan, i find that works best for me. Anyway, you sigs look sweet, hope this ones good too http://jdpr.deviantart.com/

Anyway, you sigs look sweet, hope this ones good too I do draw it out first, just don't go by linework. blocking it out simplifies everything so I can work section at a time. Going by the original drawing sometimes means the end result can be brought down by the drawing quality. More booze is a great Idea LP.

Punc
It looks like a complicated way to start, but looking at your previous one an effective way indeed. Can't wait to see the complete version :)
Fortress2000
Good technique. I think I used the hardest technique for my sig. Makeing it completely on MS Paint. Nothing else. Writing in colour was fun while it lasted...The Tip.It. Furry! :D

lemonfish
Good technique. I think I used the hardest technique for my sig. Makeing it completely on MS Paint. Nothing else. Most people use ms paint. As you can tell from above terley uses it and I do too. Also mxm does but that's offtopic. Really liking it but I think it's a bit early to post progress. P.S Fortress, i quite like your signature for some reason. It's simple and the shadows are nice. Dunno why though it just cathces my eye
