February 5, 201511 yr So I went to RS Wiki to see if I can read the plot of the quest there. Well, it does have the quest's plot, sort of. But only about 10% of the article about the plot, the rest of the quest page is "do this, do that." I wanna be able to review a quest I have done before, that's why I wanna do research on the quest. So can anyone tell me where I can find the plot of a quest? I mean the plot, not walkthrough. And I also wanna be able to know what the dialogs are without starting a new account on RuneScape, thank you.
February 5, 201511 yr RuneWiki has the complete dialogue of some newer quests, but afaik there is no site with a detailed plot summary. It would be really nice to have something like it though. As the size of an explosion increases, the number of social situations it is incapabale of solving approaches zero. Ensure you are not a social situation.
February 5, 201511 yr I don't think it's allowed to copy dialogue verbatim from the game, anyways... BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention
February 5, 201511 yr I don't think it's allowed to copy dialogue verbatim from the game, anyways...Why not? Plagiarism? "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." Can games be art? --- My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! I always appreciate comments/feedback.
February 5, 201511 yr Author I don't think it's allowed to copy dialogue verbatim from the game, anyways... That's ridiculous, people make videos showcasing stuff from the game all the time, why wouldn't they be allowed to show the dialogs?
February 6, 201511 yr I don't think it's allowed to copy dialogue verbatim from the game, anyways... I doubt there is a problem with it if you cite the source of the dialogue, and if it is free. If you are making money with it, then there might be a problem. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. February 6, 201511 yr Do the quests. First hand would be my best bet. Most people use a guide and rush through them as fast as possible, and don't take in the lore and the story.
February 6, 201511 yr Author Do the quests. First hand would be my best bet. Most people use a guide and rush through them as fast as possible, and don't take in the lore and the story. But the problem with that is it's impossible to redo them without making a new account, so this doesn't really help.
February 7, 201511 yr You did them right? Your the one that didn't pay attention. That being said, there isn't a compilation of story lines that I know of.
February 7, 201511 yr Author You did them right? Your the one that didn't pay attention. That being said, there isn't a compilation of story lines that I know of. In that case the best thing I can do is try to remember what happened. It's not gonna be easy, which is good I like a challenge.
February 7, 201511 yr You did them right? Your the one that didn't pay attention. That being said, there isn't a compilation of story lines that I know of. I did many quests on my previous 2 accounts (this one is an ironman), and I don't seem to remember the plot. If you did quests years ago you might forget how the plot goes. http://sign.tip.it/1/2/79/260/essiw.png Retired item crew I would like to be credited as essiw at the website update & corrections forum. February 7, 201511 yr doing a quest once 7-8 years ago is near on impossible to remember, regardless of much attention you paid at the time. Such a place would be nice, but afaik there isn't sadly.
February 7, 201511 yr Upon further inspection, it seems that RS Wikia does have transcripts for many of the quests here. It's just the dialogue and there are few if any details about the plot, aside from separating it into appropriate sections, but perhaps it's a start. Does that help at all? "Fight for what you believe in, and believe in what you're fighting for." Can games be art? --- My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! Indeed it does, after all the dialog is a huge part of what makes the plot. I am so glad I can finally do proper research.
