Socc
Hey Tip.iters, this guides for the lower lvs who want to barrow but arent sure about it. But you can do it if you read this! The 411 The Barrows, a place where some people can get rich quick or others find themselves at a heavy price to pay. You hear about the high lvs getting rich here, want some for yourself read on. Quests You need to do a few quests before you begin: Ghosts Ahoy - fairly easy, but a bit long Priest in Peril - very easy Nature Spirit - very easy Skills I suggest you get at least the first chaos wind spell 43 prayer is a must 40 defence and attack helps too at least 25 herb ( so you can i d ranars and save alot on p pots) The Items needed I suggest you bring this inventory, put an energy pot into that open space and this equipment(wear mystic gloves and boots, I havent been able to find a seller yet) Bring a partner! The Route Head through the swamp to the nature spirit alter, for the 2 extra prayer points, wearing your rune run through the town(to protect from shades and etc) Killing *mage them all except ahrim Now head to the gate in the small abandoned town. To your right (if your looking at the screen) you will see dhoraks mound, go there and kill him first(keep your spell set) kill him then go to the one that was to the left of you when you came, which is Verac. kill him and head to the farthest mound away which is karil. then head over to guthan, then head to torag, then ahrim. if you do this right you will only need about 6 ppots(i had a 2 dose im gonna use up) Tunnel Now your in the tunnel, and you have your brother that wasnt in his crypt. Find the rat room, or a room with alot of bloodworms. Kill 5 blood worms and get an 10 kc(u will use about all but 2 of ur lobs), and head to the center room. After you kill the 5 blood worms equip your staff and set your spell so if you run into the brother in the tunnels you can kill him there. Be ready to take a ppot dose at anytime. After you solve the puzzle(check the guide on tip.it for the answers) and take 2 doses of ppot and open chest, your brother will pop out(unless you killed him in the tunnel parts) mage him to the death, keep an eye on your prayer. open the chest then tele out with ectophial. Tips - Remember your spade - Remember your ectophial - Also remember side step (check main guide) - Remember life always! - remeber higher pray bonus, and low mage negative - remember to turn accept aid off Socc | 99 Magic | 95/99 Range | 99 Defence | 99 Hitpoints | 96/99 Summoning |Join SODB for some monster Slayin! |
Clan_Chat_Op
Lots of barrows guides out there, but I like it :) Does initiate armour give same prayer bonus as brown robes? Why not use those? I wish I could be a low level to try barrows out... I wonder if its worth it in the end. I bet you gain levels like crazy :) I skill. If you skill you should join. kwimbob
Lol, I knew who made this just from the title  (HYT'd) Nice advice expanding on the main guide. :) Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]
jwrm22
just use 100% prayer stuff: broodooo shield, full initate, prayer ammy, dragon mace (if you can wield) and walk back to the nature altar to get your prayer back :) i know, its boring... but your guide is called: ~The Noobs Guide To Barrowing~ so it would be a perfect noob trick... un-note your food at the generalstore of mort'ton that quest isnt hard... and ectophial ir recommered, add the quest to the quest list :) nice guide anyway... ^^ click my sig for my lesser ranging guide ^^jwrm22: 4816th > 99 cooking 100% f2p !1172 total! + 140mil in items.i dont play anymore... i think rs is ruined
desipardesi
sorry but thats way too expensive a way to do barrows. Your prayer robes are little use in the barrows. This is because the prayer drains a fixed amount in the time it takes to cast 5 spells. To reduce the pray pot usage, you need to kill the brothers AS FAST AS YOU CAN. This means having the best mage attack bonus and using the best spell available to you (preferably better than strike spells). I have usually done the trips using 3-5 doses of pray pots (NOT 6 pray pots). Also remember to run out of the crypt the instant a brother dies. You can save 10 or so pray points just by being a second faster in getting out of the crypt. Doing that in each crypt saves you at least a couple of doses of pray pot. Similarly dont waste time standing inside the crypt and chatting with friends. Its a waste of pray points. # 1101 to 99 range on 12-18-0585 slayer on 12-18-05 with combat at 102; retired from members since Feb 06.Back since June 07. 2000+ total. Lord_K
This guide really helps lower lvls like me to even think of doing barrows, as most guides are aimed at the higher lvl ones. All I need now is 38 herblore to cut down on the cost.

S77
As long as you have 55 slayer and 65+ mage you can finish it with 5-8 doses and save tons of money and runes. You don't want good prayer bonus but the best mage bonus possible, your guide has flaws and some edits in robes and spells could save low levels some money and time
Socc
these robes work perfectly for me, i tested it with and with out them on p point drain, it happens less often with them Socc | 99 Magic | 95/99 Range | 99 Defence | 99 Hitpoints | 96/99 Summoning |Join SODB for some monster Slayin! |

LordSoultar
Excellent work on the guide. :) And to those saying the extra pray bonus doesn't help: it does... alot. I recently started using Zamorak robes instead of Ahrims because it saves me about 5 prayer points per brother. And I bet anyone that has used full Veracs at barrows will have noticed an even bigger difference. Should the person following this guide have 55 slayer they can just go purely for prayer bonus instead of magic bonus, since it seems magic bonus has little to no effect on Magic Dart's power or accuracy.
