Sorry, but I gotta take issue with that. You talk as though you're some valiant war hero or a champion for human rights. You didn't inspire anybody to do the quest...bribed would be much more fitting.

Beyond that I would have done the drop party if not shyed off it by Jagex new statement on drop parties outside of party petes. Many high level people understand and concur with my reasonings and I wil work hard to create a reasonably exciting event to be determined.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So you did a hard quest that will likely unlock alot more of the Game to you. Please tell me that Im a jerk for doing so?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Most the people that would be able to attend my initial event likely could afford all the things I was dropping. My intent was to have only the elite and hard workign of runescape in attendance. That aim has now been defeated and my logic forces me to put it in different location that can't put any attendee in harms way. The result is noob party!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My aim was pure, it was derailed. Bribery is never an objective of mine.

 

 

 

I instead like to party hard and help people out. If that isn't somethign to be appreciated in this community I fear I am in the wrong one.

Most people weren't doing the quest because you had "inspired" them to do so, they were doing it for the drops that they might receive. In that sense, they were being motivated to do it for a "material" gain...bribery if you will.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In that I have an issue. Not with you, not with your drop party or its location...just a slight issue with wording.

Not calling you for this or anything.. the fact you made has nothing to do with it. I wouldnt attennd for certain reasons.

But I have one question. Why were you going to host it at the abyss anyway? The wilderness + skull factor aside: Isn't that kind of dangrous be be hosting a party there? There are some pretty high leveled multi-attacking monsters in there that could easily own any low level noob. And if YOU got Pked en route to the party... all of that stuff would go so some party-crashing noob PKer and not to everyone who went to the trouble to be there.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Party Pete's isn't that good either, granted, since lots of n00bs hang around there and if 10+ people enter the noobs scramble in there to see what is being dropped and they draw too much attention to it. But there are much better places to do it than the abyss and Pete's: like the body altar, for example. It's easy to gain access to, and nobody in their right mind on P2P actually crafts bodies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, congrats on the 99 slayer. Hope you have some kind of get-together to celebrate, that is one huge goal behind you.

Oh... well you dont NEED to use the abyss to get there, just use that handly little crystal trinket thingy to get there via ardy.

Aww...I did MEP2 and everything, just for this party...Ah well. But, you could still hold it at the death altar. No one has to say that we can't use the normal method of gaining access to the death altar. You could either go through the light temple or the underground pass. Well, I couldn't, because I died right after I placed the new crystal in the black one, and lost my death tally. :D Grats on 99 slayer. :wink:

I always was planning on doing the quest because I was 70 rc and barrages need lots of deaths.

 

 

 

I never did the quest though because I could just craft nats and trade for deaths.

 

 

 

You INSPIRED me to do the quest and I thank you for that :)

 

 

 

I wouldn't have cancelled the drop party because of jagex not allowing it though I think they can't stop u from going to a place and dropping your items. Just tell people NOT to come to the death altar at "time, date and world" because they would get killed by pkers and you don't want to have that happen therefor i repeat do NOT come ;)

 

 

 

I have to admit that jagex remains jagex though and especially lately I wouldn't like to risk a lot.

 

 

 

I am still holding my 94 mage drop party and dropping around 3mill value though but thats a private party for my friends ;)

 

 

 

ps maybe theres another area where only the elite can come maybe something related wit 100th quest =).

to bad about the party was looking forward to it but what does the little trinket do thet u got at the end of mep2 anyways?

how about having it above party petes and manually dropping it no noobs will find us there... maybe the legends guild. O well congratz

If you do not mention the location of your drop party, your thread will be removed and you may receive a forum black mark.

 

Remember, if you decide to organise a drop party in the wilderness, you may be accused of attempting to item scam other players, and it could also lead to a lot of flaming, therefore it is advisable to pick a safe location.

 

 

 

Anybody who participates in a drop party, held in a dangerous location, does so at their own risk.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Theyve got rid of the Party Pete's only bit, I think. And its their own risk

 

to participate so you wouldnt get banned for holding it there.

 

 

 

Maybe your drop party could still go ahead? If so, Ill try and do MEP1 and 2 to get there. Ive done all the other master quests now according to the KB (yes, including all of RFD woot!)
