March 28, 200620 yr He means that the answer to stage 1 is found by "rephasing" what is already written on that page... WHAT IS THE QUESTION or am i just stupid :?: The url for the next stage is found by rephasing what is already on the page.
March 28, 200620 yr I know where box is, thought I can't see it. (Laptop screen) and I know the source. Any more gentle hints? :?
March 28, 200620 yr If you know the source you should have got it by now. 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength
March 29, 200620 yr Desperately in need of help for stage 9!!!! Do I need to extrapolate the bottom line to get values for p,s and w? AND is the answer a number or a word? Ta muchly
March 29, 200620 yr I need a clue on no 7 with the black lines on the white background. Please give me a clue via pm or here! Thanks in advance.
March 29, 200620 yr For anyone that cares, here's a summary of posted clues for each stage thus far. Stage 1: Follow the instructions on the page, Type in the url without any spaces. Stage 2: Type in the box color. Only 1 of 2 common spellings is accepted. Stage 3: Type in the missing color. Only 1 of the missing colors is accepted. Stage 4: What, exactly, is the cause of brain death for someone in the device? Stage 5: What color is missing. Ignore the hint. Know your display technology. Stage 6: You must view the page source, (or equivalent). Similar to Stage 1. Stage 7: What is the common name for this childlike drawing? Stage 8: First enlarge the image. Second, translate the image into binary. Third, Google 'binary chart' . One of the links on the first page is exactly what you need to get the next url. Stage 9: 2 hints given so far From the riddle author, fire_skulll300: "so far i think 2 people are on number 9 if you are one of them you will find that things just dont seem to add up or do they *cough**hint**cough*" From Aperson and neogeo0823: "check out the picture. you have a string of numbers and letters, followed by a string of alternating numbers and letters. the second line is the key to the puzzle. when things look down, add em up." Stage 10:
March 29, 200620 yr Woot, onto stage 10. Number nine drove me crazy. i understand number 10, just keeping guessing the answer.
March 30, 200620 yr I think I'm out of intelligent guesses for #10. Moving on to the unintelligent ones now. ;) "Duty, then, is the sublimest word in the English language. If I do my full duty, the rest will take care of itself." ~ Robert E. Lee
March 30, 200620 yr Yea the whole question is pretty vague, because it is so vague it makes me think we are missing some key element here... Some play on words maybe... I've been running that question through my head now for a few days and nothing really comes up. Why should we buy postage stamps when we can make our own?aperson being
March 30, 200620 yr I think I'm out of intelligent guesses for #10. Moving on to the unintelligent ones now. ;) and when those run out, dont forget the unintelligable ones ;) wouldnt it be hilarious if the answer was "BLBLARAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!" I couldn't care less if he was Andrew Gower himself, I just don't like arrogant smegheads. *in the voice of the comic book guy from the simpsons* best. quote. EVER!
March 30, 200620 yr Just for a bit of fun, have you seen what you can make with Anagrams from the letters in stage #9? You get funny things like: Hide a webb ISP A webb ID is Hep He is webb paid His web be paid He is a webb dip A webb pie dish She wiped a bib Wide hips babe Dish wipe babe etc...
March 30, 200620 yr Somehow I skipped from stage 3 to stage 6? Stage three was the 'What's missing?" stage. What I typed in worked, but it sent me to stage 6. Is this correct? Because it sounds like everyone is killing themselves over Stage 4  Anyway, I'm having difficulty with Stage 8. How do I convert an image into binary?
March 30, 200620 yr Between each pair of green lines are 8 white or black lines. Let the white lines be 0 and the black lines be 1.
March 30, 200620 yr ... it sent me to stage 6. Is this correct? 3 of the answers are colors, so if you just happened to try the answer for a later puzzle when attempting an earlier puzzle, you would jump way ahead. :D
March 30, 200620 yr Between each pair of green lines are 8 white or black lines. Let the white lines be 0 and the black lines be 1. Got it. Still stuck on Stage 9. I need help! No idea of what to do...the hints don't seem to help either. What's with everyone saying the p, s, and w?
March 31, 200620 yr Author lol the dreadful p, s, and w just ignore those people they like those letters a bit too much theyhavenothingtodowithit (\/) 42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.(O.o) cabbage rools(><) my sig is cool, if you agree put this in your sig. *is too lazy to animate*^the bunny is back! yay!
April 1, 200620 yr Got through #8 when I translated the 3 first sets... Can somebody give me a PM that what does the add up thingy that everyone gives as a hint in #9 mean?
April 2, 200620 yr Got through #8 when I translated the 3 first sets... Can somebody give me a PM that what does the add up thingy that everyone gives as a hint in #9 mean? i'm completely stumped on #9 and have been for a few days now... and i consider myself to be quite good with these sort of things
April 2, 200620 yr Still no one has figured out 10? Wow, thats a tough booger. I'm still pretty clueless any further than the basic question... Why should we buy postage stamps when we can make our own?aperson being
April 2, 200620 yr Nope, number 10 is a tricky little sod. 99/99 Fletching, 99/99 Cooking, 96/99 Strength
April 3, 200620 yr Or, a sodding little trickster, if you prefer. "Duty, then, is the sublimest word in the English language. If I do my full duty, the rest will take care of itself." ~ Robert E. Lee
April 3, 200620 yr Author still noone has gotten number 10 8 days left (\/) 42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.(O.o) cabbage rools(><) my sig is cool, if you agree put this in your sig. *is too lazy to animate*^the bunny is back! yay!
