With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Pretty much. If you initiate combat with any player in the wildy, you will get a skull. Should you die, you will lose everything on you, unless you use the "Protect One Item" prayer, in which case you keep one item. If someone attacked you, and therefore initiated combat first, he/she gets the skull, and you will keep 3 of your most "valuable" (I use this term very loosely) items, or 4 items if you used the prayer I said above.

If you get a skull, it will last for about 20 minutes, whether you are in or out of the wildy. Be extra careful when attacking NPC's or getting random events outside of the wildy with a skull, because you will still lose everything.

Yea, that system's been around for a very long time. Does anyone remember exactly when it was put in place?
