  1. Do i need to know anything about programming to know how stupid they are being to still be working on content the month it goes live? Seriously, take a month off, get so that their a month ahead, then when you say your going to release something its already done. No delays, no complaints, just a smooth running operation. They way they are currently doing this is very poor, and will continue to put themselfs in these situations. They had no problems taking out aspects of the game that was very well liked for the "better of everyone," despite the endless complaints, so take the time to get ahead of schedule for the "better of everyone."
  2. It works, but he still burrows. You have the stats for better monsters than the mole  currently trying to get nests. I came back recently from a good break, what types of monsters could i solo for good money?
  3. Will a zamorak gs freeze the giant mole? Does the special work on all npcs? Thanks in advance
  4. The only thing that bothers me is how deadline driven they are. To me, it makes more sense to be a month ahead of schedule that way any problems will be hammered out long before relsease date. I had really though tthat was what they were trying to do with the weeks off, but it appears that isn't that case.
  5. I may be completely wrong, but i think players from rsc tend to pick up their gp. In rsc money was more of an important thing. Now it seems people look at it as wasted time to pick it up. Reason i say this as i also pick up all coins, and i noticed you join date, i would be intrested in seeing how close i am in this guess.
  6. As it stands, I wouldn't attend if they held it within walking distance (not that they would - I live in the boonies). As people keep going back to the "insignificant item" fallacy (staff members again, I note) - I must point out - it's the principal of in-game rewards for real world cash that is offensive. Yes indeed... i live a short plane journey away and have plenty of time and money to attend the event, but i have no intention of going and would feel embarrassed to prance around in the game with the banner if i did have one What i - and many other people - object to is that Jagex has made it so that real life money buys an ingame item I understand you not wanting to see Runescape become yet another 'Cash Shop' game. And i agree, however i find it acceptable and fair to offer an item to people who show up to an event. Kinda like special shirts if you show up to a concert. If the item they give had ANY positive benefits aside from looks i would 100% agree with you guys. But its a novelty item that shows you display an interest in Jagex, if EVERYONE got this item then what would it show? Well i dissagree, i agree with what 3___Hit___U said. If and when Jagex hosts this event in America next year we will see this same topic about how unfair it is again. Yeah, i live in America, and if they do this again next year i will again complain. I could care less that i can't go, doesn't bother me. The question i ask, and no one seems to have an answer is why an ingame item? Why couldn't they give out exclusive things in person, maybe those secruity things? So yeah, i will complain if they continue to add things to the game and don't allow people to get them. To the people talking about bunny ears and what not, had you played then you could have got them. Jagex didn't say, well those that live within 50 miles of here get them, screw off to the rest of you. Its much different than this situation.
  7. So why is it that they had to give an ingame item away? If they didn't see people getting upset about this i would be amazed. Alot of people are complaining that its unfair where it is, i could care less. I am upset that they decided to give an in game prize away. Its very obvious that people care alot about these types of items in the game, and Jagex responds by puting a stop to them being able to do this.
  8. I disagree. How is it fair that by accident of simply being born across the ocean from the eventual Jagex HQ that I have absolutely no opportunity to attend this event? Yes I can purchase the ticket and redeem the item if I seriously wanted to, but why would I put that money into an event and get 5% opportunity 'payback' than I would if I actually lived in England and could attend? I don't know. Call me bitter..but this doesn't seem fair. Do you have the ablility to think outside of yourself? People payed money to go to RuneFest, they deserve a nice little cosmetic item. There is no reason that this is "unfair" I was under the understanding that the people that payed for rune fest spent their money on....runefest. The item seems to be not fair to not only people who live somewhere that it wouldn't make sense to go, but also people that just don't have the extra money to go.
  9. I don't expect them to come up with a finished skill, infact i believe that construction was amazingly put together and that is something that likely wasn't normal to happen. The thing i do have problems with is this new fad of releasing half a skill at a time. They did it with summoning, and now apparently this skill. Even more upsetting is the insane amount of time they took to develop this skill. If they release it next update they may save some face, but i'm not sure the content were currently looking at is 2 years worth. Part of me wonders, since this was orginaly a seperate game, and they say they always have a skill in development that there may be another skill in the pipeline that started before they decided to put this in rune. If not, im at a loss at what to say. Although there was great updates during the upgrade year, I can't argue that there weren't some were great updates. This year seems like they are still puting out sketchy content. I was under the impression that they focused alot of attention on this skill, yet it does fit the profile of minigame, and is only half the skill. I personally just don't see 2 years worth of a skill.
  10. Since the GE i often find myself picking up alot of stuff. Theres always a few spots in the bank to hold off till i get to the GE, then i can put it up for sale.
  11. Because some people care about more than just doing what is easy, expedient or immediately self-serving. And Jagex "asked" Tip.it to do this in the same way that you would "ask" an unruly child to clean his bedroom -- do it or suffer the consequences. Except not, as has been explained countless times throughout the thread. Not a very convincing rebuttal. Will: I guess some people think that you win an argument if you dogpile your opponent. You do realize that a large majority is now ok with the arrangement made, the only person still fighting over this is you right? I understand that you have your morals and don't want the man pushing you around, but it's already been decided. They have started removing the adds. It's been said that it won't affect the sites income, nor will it pose a threat to any creative content on this site. I think if you truely have a moral issue with the agreement and your not just arguing because you like a good debate, then would it not be best to invest time to gather people for your own site, or perhaps a site that didn't deal with Jagex? This is nothing personal, as i have liked stuff you had said before, but it seems that much better things can become of this if you directed yourself at other things.
  12. Mod Hohbein, hoping you have had the patience to rummage through the crap in this thread after your post and have made it this far. I think bigger than anything, the users of these forums would like to have Jagex employees have interactions like you just did with these forums. I personally, and believe that alot agree with me, that having posts made by Jagex mods on these forums are better to have than concept art. Maybe you could even persuade a few of the other Jagex mod accounts on these forums to dust off and post again. The only thing i don't fully understand is why Tip.it has been held at the gold level when Jagex has been supportive of them in the past. I believe at one point, Tip.it was mentioned on the offical site, showing that both parties should have some built partnership regardless of what has happend inbetween. PS If i'm wrong about Tip.it being mentioned on the official site, someone correct me and i'll fix that part of my post when i get done with work.
  13. So where did Mod MMG say there was an anagram?
  14. Ya but why the << aaaaa >> and not " aaaaa " ? And i doubt Jagex would make a typo on something like that, especially when they have editors and stuff :/ o.O Capitol G shows the first letter of the anagram maybe? if there is an anagram that is
  15. I was thinking the same thing, Jagex is already in dangerous waters with the updates they've been presenting recently. I really hope this skill comes out with a bang for their sake. If this skill flops they are in deep [cabbage], not to mention the months they spent developing it wasted. When has any skill ever been a flop? Construction = really great advertising (get your own house!) Summoning = best support skill + good advertising (get your own pet!) Farming = greatly affected herblore, appeals to a niche of players Hunting = good resource support skill All the new skills have been designed pretty well. Summoning especially. I don't understand the need for updates. I would be happy playing RS the way it is now for a long while. Herb + Pray updates should keep you busy, and if you aren't busy with them, then there's your new goal. It is debatable for those last three as a flop. Summoning, although a great skill now, on its release was considered a flop by many. Farming had alot, and may still have alot of people that don't train it as they find it useless and boring. Hunting also shared the idea of useless upon release, it also still might. Also when people no lifed to 99 when it first came out and people found out how quick leveling a skill it was many became disapointed. Agian, this new skill could be the best skill yet, im not ruling that out. I will say however that rune needs a skill built for it, not a game built into a skill. That is what makes me think this skill has the possibility of being a big gamble.
  16. I get this bad feeling about this new skill. It was meant to be its own game, then they decided it would go well in rune. Sounds very sketchy, i can see this skill not fitting into the game at all and completely wasting alot of time and money. Although i don't know how it is yet, it seems very weird that a whole game is being shoved into a skill slot. I'm not completely ruling out that it could be really sweet. Just as far as i've understood thus far, it sounds like it could be a very dangerous gamble by jagex.
  17. Alright. Makes planing a little easier knowing that. Thank you for the help and the quick replies.
  18. So i could un-cert planks and it would never cost me, or will it after a certian amount?
  19. I haven't trained construction since it came out, but decided that would be my skill of choice for the weekend. After starting to get some things ready for it, i've run into a question. I bought planks, and i had thought it cost money to un-cert them in the past, unless it was just logs to planks, but is it free to un-cert planks now? I have the demon butler btw
  20. OK seriously, why the [bleep] would they care about anything else ? It's called busyness, get used to it. http://[Use Quick Find Code]/l=0/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?13,14,746,60289341 Give that a read over, in more than one case does he talk about financial hits they have taken in order to give their customers the best. The screen with the members and free version info needed to go through every login regardless of membership is a load of crap, feels like Iddison is back in office. How can Jagex preach about how little they care about money, then shove that down their players throats. I'm extremely dissapointed in this move, it would be one thing to have it for first time logining in, but everytime is to much.
  21. Am i the only person who isn't upset about these people "gaining an unfair advantage," or not being banned long enough? I'm much more upset that these people require such large amounts of Jagex workers time which could have been put to much better use.
  22. I don't think the list came from top 750k people on high scores, as im not on the list. I wouldn't be scared if i was, i'm more worried i got something from the site. :wall: There seems to be people that say they got something, and people who say they haven't. Anyone clear this up?
  23. Not to get to far off topic, but these mint cakes, how does one get them through playing? A random reward for gnome mini game? I just don't understand the point of using that for currency, it seems something Jagex could/would increase the rate they enter the game and anyone caught having them could lose alot. Is there something im not seeing?
  24. Thanks for the information, i still haven't made the switch to that slayer master, this information helps in deciding if i want to or not.
