So I heard a rumour bout a guy goin for the most hacked accounts.

There is a lis of 750k runescape names, two of my friend are on them.

 

So you believe it?

Hah. Well I don't care, I'm not on there.

My name has been on other lists like that before, not sure if they related to hacking or not. but my name is actually on that list. He must have some form of super-decoder to crack all those passwords in one day, unless he has been doing it for a long time previously.

 

750k accounts would be he would access just over 8 accounts a second for the whole 24h.

 

To be honest, i don't really get what he's doing, is he just saying he will access all 750k accounts on that day? if so i'm a large nay-sayer.

 

I remember the exact spot i last logged into runescape at, and the exact IP, so I will tell you new years day if it was a hoax or not.

My main is on the list, but none of my other accounts? Weird stuff :s

And I don't know if i should change my pw or not, even tho I feel safe on this computer (which I use for all my accounts, while only my main is on the list?)

I sense a troll taking the image of a 'hacker'.

I think it's more of a scare tactic that can cause harmless "self-aware" of how insecure some people could be.

I read somewhere that jagex said:

Has anyone found a name on that list of a player that is not on the highscores?

If not, he could have gotten names from the highscores instead of using a fancy keylogger.

But I will reitterate what was said by Jagex, it doesn't harm to change your password, recovery q's and bank pin regularly.

My old name is on the list, but I don't believe this is true.
