  1. Correct. You simply need to kill monsters in the Fight Caves. If you die or quit before reaching Jad, you won't need to fight him at all. Intresting, do they have to be from the fight cave or can they be other tzhaars?
  2. so, if you increase you task to 280, you dont have do kill jad?
  3. I believe those prices crashed due to an update to herblore shops that made them both cheap and easy to buy
  4. Or perhaps the update is huge, and they wanted to release it in two parts. There is the last minute bug that appears in a lot of games, and it doesn't make Jagex a bad company. Cry some more. So you have to wait a couple more days, big deal. Yup, you got me....crying over a game. I could care less if they don't update at all this week, or month even. The way they handled this was stupid. To add content to the game without telling people is a complete waste. I understand bugs come, but the point is if they were planing a Thanksgiving update, maybe having it finished at ready to launch a little early wouldn't be a bad idea.
  5. I'm not sure how Jagex is going to get out of this without it being a failure. Its something they put into the game, meaning they put time and effort into it, yet didn't make an announment out of it. So anyone who doesn't check the forums has a chance at missing out on this. For instance, i would never have known had i not been active on tip.it. The idea that the secound half of the update got pushed back to later in the week is an even worse failure. That means they released half an update because part wasn't ready. Thanksgiving is a marked date.....it doesn't just sneak up on you. I can't see how it is possible that Jagex thought this through at all. I'm more than dissapointed in the fact that they wasted time on an update that wasn't put infront of the player base.
  6. I read through it...what a roller coaster ride it was. At first i was excited about it and liked the idea that they took the time to make the post. Roughly halfway through, i started becoming annoyed. Are they truely working on all they say they are? Most everything is being worked on or developed. It makes me wonder how it was possible that at one point they were able to update at the pace they had been. Where have all the resources been placed? Understanding the server upgrade must have taken alot of work, was most everyone on it? It seems like update year is a sham, the updates, although nice, are not impressive. Their timing seems to be off aswell. With a great chunk of players students, Jagex decided to keep on the upgrade idea for summer when most people have time to play. Now that students have went back to school, Jagex seems to be starting, or soon starting to fade away from upgrades. The timing couldn't have been more wrong. The only thing i can think of is the previous CEO(forgot name), pushed most everything Jagex had ready for release out in order to update at the rate they were. Having sent everything that was ready to go out, left MMG with little to nothing to work with. That would explain the bad timing and the upgrade year. If this is they case, i would be a much more happy customer being told that, because right now, Jagex seems shady to me. Alot of talk, but nothing that looks to be anytime soon, or a good reason why they took a whole year for fixes that should have been done in conjunction with regular updates. All in all, im still paying for membership, not because of updates, because i like the game. But from the stand point of a customer in general, it seems someday things might get better. But will the masses want to stick around and wait that long?

  8. A very popular brand lol. Was it acknoledged by a mod by any chance?
  9. Indeed, so HD the progress bar doesn't work? I got it from a clue actually, but wouldn't putting it in at lowest just sit until it updates, then be out of range?
  10. First question is, why is it that my progress bar doesn't work? It worked when the GE first came out but hasn't worked in a long time now. Im doubtful that i have a one and only glitch, so any help would be great. The next question is, i have been unable to sell my Zamorak kiteshield, i had it in at max, then the sell price slowly droped down as the item has been rising for the past few days. Shouldn't it sell fairly quick if its a raising item, why isn't it selling? Thanks in advance
  11. I made a topic similar to this one when they had the wolverine popup add. I now know why Jagex was so willing to lose money on certain aspects of their game, cause they can do crap like this and get it back. Seriously, they need to stop with this new add campain soon or people are going to head other places. People come to runescape because of the "clean" feeling, if they wanted to be bumbarded with adds they could go elsewhere. Im disapointed in all this add stuff recently. I pay for the game and was told it would be add free, now i have to deal with this crap because they need to make up for lost profit else where. Lame -.-
  12. Really? Taking it there? I honestly can't understand why Jagex are updating as they are. There was a time, although seeming longer and longer ago, that they could release an update bug free. Now they have taken out the things they felt rushed their content in order to release better content and they still can't get it right. I love this game, but im feeling as if their new game(mechscape) will be there only concern soon despite what they say. :|
  13. discussing it this afternoon! :wall: Its been a known problem, should have already been discussed. I understand the wait for the fix, but to not have talked it out already? lame
  14. Am i the only one upset in the extreme amount of time Jagex have spent working and reworking pvp content? At this point it should be done and working, not still fixing stupid errors. I'm getting upset seeing less and less updates and i'm having an even harder time believing that it has nothing to do with fixing pvp. It's time they finish fixing it and start working on content for the rest of their players. I have nothing against pvp, but there has been an extreme amount of work into it, while other sit and wait. The 26k trick should be fixed and done, aswell as the manuplation clans fixed, i agree. They affect everyone in game with there effects on prices.
  15. Imagine all the poor starving familys regardless of this. To the people saying that the job they did was terrible, yes to our standards it is. When you look at the other things that are done in China for money, it was a good job. To the comment about chinese children being killed.....sadly its mainly girls that are killed, left for dead, or put up for adoption as they have very little use in their society. It seems kind of bad to say, but its a good thing for the video game world, just maybe not the best thing for those who did this as a form of income. :|
  16. what you should really be saying to Jagex. 'working hard, or hardly working?' And you know exactly what they're doing with their time? A scientist goes to work. He accidentally messes up a step. He has to publish his paper a month late. Did he just spend a month doing nothing or did he spend a month fixing his mistakes? Brilliantly said    was that scientist showing pics of his discovery and saying that there were only a few calculations left. then put it of for a month. then another month promising it all the while, then 3 more months without discussing it at all even though it was due out 5 moths ago? if he did he isn't very good scientist. Welcome to the world of programming and software development. [cabbage] happens, delays are inevitable, and projects may be scrapped. Calling them lazy/incompetent/useless/slackers is not going to get the job done faster; it'll be ready when it's ready. In the mean time, should all other projects be put on the back burner because of a few critical system bugs? what else has come out! seriously look at what they managed last year. tell me they can't handle a decent update a month! Betting 5 i-web dollars they managed to turn it into a skill or something much bigger....i think its the game changing mechanic they talked about....
  17. Thats the same thing i said in some other topic floating around. It makes sense because the update has been delayed so long. They said the have a game changing mechanic that involves a new skill aswell. After hearing the little they have said about MA it makes me think that it will some how be/involve a skill.
  18. Am i the only one who thinks MA has been changed into some sort of skill? They said the new skill changed the mechanic of the game, and reading about MA kinda made me think of that. They said the new skill would be both p2p and f2p, so a teleport would be handy to combine the two. Maybe im puting two completely different things together here, but it would explain the long delay in MA.
  19. How did manipulation clans not see this coming? :wall: This was something that obviously was going to have intervention by Jagex, as people stated, its in the knowledge base that they could if they see fit. If i read one of Mod Matts posts correctly, he basicly told people that have a problem with what happend to quit and leave. He didn't directly say it but he said someone who had said it made a good point. I don't think it could be any clearer, Jagex doesn't care if they lose players dealing with this problem. I think this was the tip of the iceberg. Recently they wanted to make the game more enjoyable, with prices like they have been it hasn't. They're trying to please the masses, in this case its not the manipulators.
  20. I've been doing alot of slayer lately, almost level 85. The problem i'm seeing is alot of places are constantly packed. I'm not sure if all these people are on a task or if their camping. I have no problems with camping, i just wish there was more monsters to train on. Through all the frustration of dealing with spot stealers and what not i came up with a possible solution. Jagex should add an spot of slayer monsters that can only be killed while on a task. This would allow people to camp where they want, but give slayer trainers a place that they can train without hassle.
  21. Check the patch notes. It mentions adding drops to the code. Doesn't say if they increased drops or added it to diffrent monsters....or if they didn't have it added for some.
  22. Im wondering if Jagex didn't increase the drop rate with the new update. Im guessing the next part of the champions challenge has been finished or close to so now they fixed the drop rate. Thats just my guess though.
  23. I don't think it's a decision that should be decided by the companys. I think its the same as when developers make console games and are not allowed to release them due to their content. It's a freedom that should be withheld but it doesn't always work out that way. Also, with addiction, if they were limited to 8 hours of play time most addicts would create another account for the rest of there fix. Otherwise they would find some other way to go about it. Video game addiction is the same as most any other addiction, people will jump through every hoop to get there fix.
  24. The problem with slayer is it's a constant battle to find an open world to train. Once you find a good world, it usually doesn't take long before someone tries taking your spot. With this new monster getting a special drop, i would really like a new system put into play. I would like it if you could only fight this monster during a slayer task. It would stop people from camping, and leave more room and money for the slayers. I understand that this will most likely never happen, but i think doing so would be a great addition to slayer. It makes more sense that you could only fight it while doing a task because thats kind of the point of slayer.
