Evilperson
I am in second year photo class and have been lacking creativity for this one. I decide to turn to the experts at the media board for help. The project is a photo, using any style (IE panning, hockney, drawing with light etc). The picture is supposed to be uplifting. It is this way because we are entering our finished projects into a contest for the local hospital to be put on the lobby wall and recieve money. The picture is suggested to be "happy" as it would create a better atmosphere for the hospital. Suggestions? Everybody lovin' it, but ain't no body touchin' it

____
I'm not good with happy photos :( Best bit of advice is only use cliche shots (see reddawn's post) as a last resort. Other than wandering about with your camera and just taking photos of uplifting things / moments / etc. There isn't much else I can really say about it - other than staging the shot :-? knives669
Get a picture of a nice flower early in the morning while there's dew still on it. ^_^ Make sure the sun is hitting it at an intriguing angle.

Yah I mean it would be so original. Everyone in his class will be original to with the same photograph 20 times

Suggestions? lol, go find yourself a really big bug (buy one if you have to) beatles or spiders are great. Put on your nice big black leather shoes(or imitate leather :D) those with the really big soles. Now step on the big and squash it. Turn the shoe upside down(while its still on your leg) and take a photo of that, put a caption like "now aren't you glad you ain't a bug?" or something :P
Evilperson
Hmmm sunset, not a bad idea. But yeah that is pretty cliched. I have pictures of flowers with dew already from previous assignment, so I don't think i need anymore. I think your right, I will probably have to wander around for a while before I get an idea. Everybody lovin' it, but ain't no body touchin' it

Nadril
Try a cat hanging from a tree and put on it "HANG IN THERE BABY!" Seems uplifiting to me. As far as on subject goes, I would just wander around with your camera out. Sometimes some of the best shots aren't planed, but instead found while exploring. For example, maybe go explore around some woods or something around that nature, you'd be supprised what you'd find. and try not to do something cliche. :)
jabraulter
Oh the possibilities are endless. What came into my mind first was the idea of photographing lone a patch of grass, or a flower, amidst a barren landscape. The text would say, "If they can do it, you can." or "Even in these conditions, they have pulled through." Just some ideas :)
