Featured Replies

People scamm other people's item and password and they don't banned but you get banned yourself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that cheap or what???

how do people report you when they are the people who scammed :?:

i believe this falls under "quid pro quo" (this for that). If you see scamming in any way, REPORT IT!

but you and the scammer have to be both online to report.

not really, all you need is a screen shot of the past 60 seconds of action the scammer did.

but the other player can't get banned if he log off right away after he scam you.

heres where judgement comes in. if you think a scams going on, report it. if someone trades you 10k ess then changes to 1k ess, decline and report them.

Is there any ways to affort getting scammed?

ever hear of the "friend system?"

have a friend add the scammer, if he blocks you, your friends can tell you where he is.

Then you would be videoing every trade you ever did. You do not know that you are about to be the subject of an attempted scamming.

The answer is, be quick with the report button. Jagex could build in something like the combat system, whre you cannot log out for 10 seconds after the trade, to allow the victim time to report you.

As long as you are careful, and double check the second screen, you should not get scammed. Obviously, it is frustrating not to be able to report people who attempt to scam you, but at the moment, that is the way it is.

But there is this pogram that can hack other people 's password.

It works like this: if someone have the pogram on their comuter others log on runescape using that computer then they can use the pogram to get their comeuter.

the problem is that most scammers got names like: 0mglol1597238439

one more question :P

I have logged in to my account to see my player a different place than where I left him and without his full rune twice(somebody broke into my account).

is there any way to report this to jagex?

I changed my pass each time, but they somehow figured it out

There is nothing you can do about this. Too bad you lost your items, but you did not have your password changed, and therefore they need not intervene. Most people who use keyloggers to get your password change the password of your account when they hack it. If you dont need to recover your password, you do not need to report it to Jagex - there is nothing they can do about getting your items back, and it is almost impossible for them to catch the scammer.

What I would say, is set recovery questions, enter a PIN, don't make your password something easy to guess, make it obscure, and most of all, DO NOT tell ANYONE what your password is.

Then, bad news for you, you certainly have a keylogger installed on your computer that is monitoring your key strokes.

There is no way to report that to Jagex, and if you choose to do so, they would probably simply remind you of their safety rules.

The good news is that this keylogger is not of the newest generation, and can't take screenshots, otherwise the "hackers" would have known your pin code and your bank would be empty by now.

If you can't get a rid of that keylogger with virus scan, the only move left is to reformat your hardrive (or the partition hosting your program files). In the meanwhile, simply put all your equipment in your bank before you log off.

I hope this can help.

umm.....

so many people says they can trim stuff.....

and i give the thing to them....>.<

and they go away and i report him....

i think runescape will ban those bad guys....

because that time i give a rune pl8 to that guy....

i took a screeny of this scammer trying to get my password and he got banned sooo funny

I'd be wary of this :( I'm always afraid of getting banned for false reports if jagex doesn't understand why I'm reporting them. offering 10k then switching to 1k could just be an error, they could have hit an extra 0 the first time around

I think jagex should have like a 100 letter comment box on the "report abuse" button so you can explain your report

Reporting is a waste of time they never get banned and you will just be wasting your time.

I got scammed by a guy called Xbox81something - reported him straight away and he was still playing 3 days after. He was calling me a lot of abusive names after he scammed me. I have reported that as well but he is still playing.

He scammed me with some trade hack i dont know how he did it i have even checked the second screen and his abby whip and rune boot were there in the trade window. We both accepted teh trade he got teh money and i have no whip nor rune boots.

I also came here to warn others and got abused by some nerds in this forum for it. Then the mode deleted my post saying tough luck take it else where or piss off so to speak. Real nice bunch of runescape communities ey?

to tell you the truth i have never met one nice person that realy stands out in a crowd of runescape world - players mods and the like. Although i truely admit they are some very helpful people that lurks this forum helping out with the thread i have started. They answered my questsions with very helpful time caring posts. Unlike some others who waste space and thread spamming and trolling with "use the search button" !!! LoL i am forgetting a lot of kids play this game too.

i was trading once and a guy tried to scam me when i declined and tried to report a note came on and said i couldn't report until i was scammed what was that
