Is there a certain level where you get things on first hit?

Featured Replies

this relates to any skill which would be, in the economic sense, in the primary sector: woodchopping, mining.

Ok here's an example, my main has 55 woodcutting and 66 mining.

When i go woodchopping normal trees i *always* get the log on the second strike with my axe, and when mining iron i *always* get the iron on the second hit. i never get it on the third hit-but that is besides the point- but i NEVER get it on my first strike with the axe or pick.

Is there a certain level where u get the resource on the first strike? or is a first hit aquisition an impossible feat? or is it just so low in chance that it seems like this?

Thanks.

*note: sorry if this is the wrong sub-forum for this post.

You should one hit the iron, I'm 67 mining but when I was 66 I one hit it.

Also, this belongs in the help and advice forum. ;)

It Can Depend On The Kind Of Pickaxe too, I used to hit the rock like 5 times With a mith pick, But with Rune I one hit it

Im only lvl 50 mining and i 1hit iron half of the time

Obviusly with rune pickaxe.

Lol, he have the same post count :P

You could one hit iron ores when you are level 41 wielding a rune pickaxe.

Lol, didn't factor in the picks. Wondered why I always 1 hit iron woth 55 mining and a rune pick lol.

and what i find interesting is that with copper, i get it second hit no matter what, while iron is 1 hit always.

im 88 mining...

but i think that is what the OP is reffering to, that he can get things all the time with 2nd hit, and iron first hit...

impretty sure thats just the way it was programmed. nothing you can do. :?

I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm!

What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-

I think you need 50 mining and a rune pick to one-hit iron, but I'm not sure.

At that level you would rarely get it one click. Having said that, you may get it periodically.

I'm pretty good at one-hitting ducks, monkeys (karamja) and normal goblins. I can do it probably 90% of the time.

I think they are talking about raw materials, not combat.

I am 60 mining, and I almost always 1-hit iron. Sometimes I get it with 3 or 4, but not very often.

Oh... My old account got stolen shortly after I got 50 mining, and when I had mined iron, I'd used an addy pickaxe usually. For some reason, though, I thought I saw someone with lvl 50 mining getting fairly constant one-hit iron ores. I dunno...
