According to xe.com ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã30 = $55.7579 - how on earth did you get $37-38?

I suggest anything made my iRiver; its cheaper, better, and has more varieties then an iPod. Definately buy on ebay as they are usually 2/3 the store price. They are also very upgradable and easy to customize.

You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.

I have an iRiver that uses a double A battery. I love it since I listen to the radio a lot lot more than the actual songs. And one AA battery lasts me a week, and if it runs out, I just go to the nearest store and buy a pack of battery for 2 bucks and keep listening again. I wouldn't buy an iPod unless it was for watching movies on the go. But the battery life keeps me from buying it.

Ipod is just popular because of its style and ways of advertisementl.....well it is actually a good MP3 player, but exspensive like all the peple before me said. but you can just get the original one (or any of the old Ipods that is not new, like ipod mini.) for cheap, and it hold tons of song. Yup..

Creative (the Zen Micro for an example) makes great small MP3's

If you don't need too many songs, 1 GB iPod Shuffles are great for exercise.

Mike

I wonder now if the iPod shuffle is worth buying at all now.

Here's why:

My girlfriend just got a 1GB SD card for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20 inc postage.

You can now get a $9 SD card MP3 player - don't know where, but I saw it in the deals section of ocforums.com.

Don't know how much the SD card would be in $ because of course it's not as simple as just translating it (things are generally cheaper in the US) - but that has got to be cheaper than a shuffle.

IMO, iPods are never worth buying. They're overpriced and you can find many cheaper mp3 players out there that hold MORE songs than the shuffle.

I mean, the 8gb photo is $199 now. You can only get a 2gb iPod nano with that..
