papa_gino99
Hey there guys! I was woodcutting willows down at Draynor Village yesterday when I noticed a suspicious lv. 3 player. The player (who shall not be named) was being attacked by the nearby wizards and was not retreating or eating anything to restore his health. I then sent a pm asking what his woodcutting lv was and there was no reply. Other surrounding players at the willows also questioned the player and asked him questions. I tried trading with him, but he did'nt respond. Now sure, this could be a legitimate player cutting down willows on a lv 3 but he does look very suspicious. I would also like to ask how JageX finds and monitors macroers. If I do report this player, can I get banned for incorrectly assuming that this player was macroing and in fact wasn't? Cheers, Papa_Gino99 ;-)
Iantiger
Just send him a point-blank private message "Are you macroing?" If he doesn't respond to that, I think it's safe to assume he is a macro. But it's better to be sure because some people just don't like to talk. ~Ian Retired Tip It Moderator | Zybez Radio DJ - Listen Here
Google90
You sent him a PM (in which you sent a friend request, in which he accepted) yet he is still macroing? Or was he already on your friends list?
Biabf
I saw someone on the runescape site that Jagex never ban people for incorrectly reporting a marcoer. They said it was impossible to be 100% sure so if you have any doubt that he isn't playing fairly, report him. If I can find the statement somewhere I will edit it in. Drawde_3
Before RS2 I had 90s in everything bar intergrated curriculum. That was 67% It is now (after less then 1 year) 93%! What a growth! A mad scientist in the attic, the owner is a vampire that dwells in the basement, a witch, skeletons, ghosts....And you thought YOUR neighbors were weird! Grim_Jokes
The fact that he didn't run could be a sign he was a macro. Proud founder of the Myriad
ChowRiit
Well, I personally ignore people randomly asking me my level and stuff a lot, I get tired with it. However, if you think someone's suspicious or might be macroing, and you're fairly certain, send an abuse report. They get listened to, and the more reports on them, the more they'll be watched... All_Bogs
Absolutely no harm in sending a macro report. If the player wasn't macroing, he won't be punished, and neither will you.
Lim_Dul
F2p servers are awash with log cutting macroers. Just go down to the Rimmington or Varrock yews, there's 5-10 there at any given time. If they look suspicious, fire off a report so Jagex can investigate further.
supergoten23
You sent him a PM (in which you sent a friend request, in which he accepted) yet he is still macroing? Or was he already on your friends list? You don't have to accept a friend request to send someone a message, they just have to have their private chat set to "on"
Apteryx
He definately sounds like an autoer. Report him, no harm can come of it if it turns out he's just another player. :?

aznmidget448
I doubt you'd get banned if he was acting like that. As long as you have proof in the 30 seconds before you send the report
