Is it theoretically possible for a trojan to remove itself from a computer? Because many people being "hacked" report using different scanners and not finding anything.

 

 

 

Also, some advanced trojans seem to be able to record bank pins, so they have to be very advanced.

correct me if im wrong, but i really dont think they can remove themselves automaticly....they have to be killed off.....

it's possible i'm assuming, but most don't and you can usually find em with virus scanners

Most people who say they were hacked are the same as those who "have a main acc." liars. It could be possible in this day and age though.

If the trojan is very good then it can do ANYTHING to your computer. It's not easy to code something like that up though.

 

 

 

The best defense is to protect your computer before it gets infected. Don't download anything that give you 'advantage' over other players.

Almost every "Backdoor" trojan that runs as a server and allows a client to gain control of your PC , does indeed have an "uninstall server" function , its actually what makes them "legal"

Yeah sure, that's possible, but most people who have their RS account details "hacked" it's just because they've used insecure passwords, or used them on another site, or downloaded cheat programs or fallen for scam emails or whatever.

Virus' that record keystrokeds are keyloggers and trojans are small programs that can run without alerting the user and allow the person who sent the virus to acsess the victim's computer without them knowing. One way to beat a keylogger is to use the on screen keyboard but that's a different matter... for a trojan to uninstall it self is possible and would be a good idea as you can remove it before anyone finds it.

i think a self destruct is built into most keyloggers.. it keeps people from figureing out WHERE the data was sent ( i think i got hit by one in the past)
