i always wanted ranged but was to lazy to train it.

 

but now ppl tells me ranged dosnt hit in p2p and its a waste of money so coz my ranged isnt good i dont realy know who to belive... :?

 

so.. i will ask the good rangers here in tip it if ranged worth the money for the traning dose it hit in mb pking?

my friend with 70 range makes a ton staking in duel areana. He kills people 10-20 lvls over him easy :) arrows pierce rune easy! so i say yes

Wearin Mystic with Split top. Some with Rune and farser.

 

 

 

If your range is 90+ it can work fine when they switch to Mage and anceint from a far. But there is soo many teamers now... When you switch to range there mellee team mate usually comes in for some dds specials.

Switched my main from PK'er to lvl'er and now have a pure for pk'in

At 74 range with 92 combat I was able to pk a lvl 117 at mb. I was using a rune knife/whip combo. Is range good? Yes.

my freind is at 87 ranged 79 combat. he owns everyone in varrock(when i'm with him) and kills all edg pkers. he is really a good pker and hits constant 18's+ on everything. he tried staking and made about 9mil but stopped as he lots internet. you can talk with him to ask but he won't be on for a while pm me for the name

Well I only have 77 ranged and never pk with it so I wouldn't know, but my 93 ranged friend (88 cb) can pk almost any mages.

 

 

 

Once he got 5 Full mystics and a full ahrim in a day. :oops:

i wear x bow with mage armor at mb and it owns... i'm 87 ranged.

 

 

 

Ranged is sooo overpowered. the best thing to do at low combat in my opinion is get 90+ ranged and 94 mage and pk in 1-5 wildy, you will own trust me.

Don't waste your time. Train mage instead.

Im level 103 and have 92 range... 60k to 93 and it owns most people. Ive gotten a full dharok kill and a few rune kills. Most people run from me eventually because they eat so much.

Range is a good support skill. I still think mellee is best.

 

 

 

However if you are ina decent sized clan, when people are piling someone the victims usually turn on protect from melee. Yourarrows will cut through them enough so that when yor clan finishes em of you will likely get the loot pile.

 

 

 

I've gotten probally 10 whip kills that way.

 

 

 

Otherwise I just see range as an addition to your total level. :-/

when u look at lvl 55-65 pures rangers OWN meleers.

 

You should try a pure and while getting through that phase you dont stand a chance versus rangers.

 

But then rangers can get 99 range and be 75 cb.

 

And my pure with 73 attack and 87 strength ( 79 cb ) just OWNS them :) so it really depends on which phase you're in.

 

When talking about 40-50 def rangers. They are a pain in the butt for pure meleers because they dont hit grat and dont get anything more then a few arrows if they manage to kill them.

 

In my opinion range is too good for the risk u take when pking. but any smart mage just pulls out range or melee when they get attacked by a ranger :)

if you the chance to train, then i say train!

it depends on what ur looking for. in stakeing alot of ppl wont stake u if ur a ranger unless they have suped up str or 20 lvs higher :roll:

 

 

 

its good for some hp lvs if u need them. it wouldnt hurt if u have some spare time on ur hands.

It's all about the hybrid factor.

 

 

 

ok, Combat is on a triangle known as the "Pking Triangle".

 

 

 

It is similar to Rock, Scissor, Paper.

 

 

 

If you had to be ability to always be rock and scissor, you would never lose.

 

 

 

So just put together any 2 of the classes, and you'll do alright. You could even bring out all 3 classes, but having range and magic together with melee seems pointless.

 

 

 

So the best combo is either melee-ranger or a melee-magician.

 

 

 

Mage-Range isnt all that bad, but the reason melee is ussually picked over Mage is simply because dd(s) special is 10x better then the magic bow special. Range special needs to go back to 35% energy drain, and it almost might be useful.
