Ok dragon. Ive figured out how to solve the problem.

 

 

 

Pure Blooded Night Elves are a dying race. There are many half blooded night elves.

 

 

 

His levitation is limited to 3 feet from him.

 

 

 

He is the last of a pure blood line with the power to levitate at least his own body weight.

 

 

 

Archmage: I saw your characters name and my heart kinda stopped. It is so close to a character name I invented a while ago. It was Xarax. And if you dont mind Ill add you into my story line right away. But not too much... just a hint.

 

 

 

So here is my intro:

Seref opened his eyes. Darkness. He breathed in the beauty of it then allowed his eyes to adjust. Slowly he began to make out his location. Dark walls, chains, a metal door.

 

 

 

It all came back to him. He had been captured. The night before, or at least that is what he thought it was, he had been captured while attempting to theive a prince on the street.

 

 

 

He closed his eyes and began to focus.

The guard had left only for a moment but his instinct told him to check the prisoner anyways. He slid back the small metal square on the door and peered inside.

Just as he hoped. He had waited nearly an hour for this opportunity. He knew a curious guard was sure to look in. He focused his energy and opened his eyes.

The guard stared at the prisoner chained to the wall. Suddenly his eyes opened. The guard jumped back. His eyes pulsed with a bright white light. Then the light became steady. The guard began to turn to get some help but decided he would take care of it.

 

Using his keys he opened the door and walked in. He brought with him a small club.

 

 

 

This was his favorite thing to do. When a prisoner gets out of line, hit them, and hit them hard. Nobody cares about a prisoner.

 

He had done this many times and he knew how prisoners acted.

 

He also knew that if he hesitated that could give the prisoner a chance to lash out.

 

 

 

With two quick steps he advanced on the prisoner. He didn't even need to pull back the club, this move had been practiced on many an inmate. Using the small amount of momentum he had from taking the steps he brought his arm up from his side and continued through with a powerful swing.

 

 

 

The club hit the prisoner in the jaw. It almost sounded as if he hit something metal. Immediately the light went from his eyes and his head dropped.

 

 

 

It had taken all of 5 seconds.

 

 

 

The guard smiled.

 

 

 

"They never learn."

 

 

 

The guard walked out of the cell and closed the door. He heard the automatic lock click and he sat down in his chair. He had a few hours to get some sleep. And with no prisoners to worry about he took the advantage.

Seref's eyes snapped open. It had worked. He grimaced at the pain in his jaw. He could feel blood running down his chin.

 

 

 

He managed to smile through the pain. Diversion. The key concept in his profession of theiving. Make them look the wrong way. He almost laughed.

 

 

 

As the guard had walked into the room he focused on Seref. Seref had focused on the keys. In the two steps that the guard had taken Seref had managed to float the keys off of his belt. The last part he timed perfectly. Keeping the keys hovering just above the ground he waited. Just as the club struck his jaw he dropped the keys. Allowing the sound of the blow to coincide with the sound of the keys hitting the floor. He knew the guard would disregard the sound.

 

 

 

He closed his eyes and concentrated on the keys lieing on the floor. He opened his eyes and light was emitted. The keys lifted and moved towards the cuffs on his hand.

 

 

 

He tried key after key and finally got the correct key. With his hand free he let the keys drop, catching them. No need for his power now.

 

 

 

As he unlocked each of his cuffs he thought about a recent story he had heard that bothered him.

 

 

 

Apparently there was a person or some people who had been seeking out artefacts. The purpose being to rid the artefact of power and ultimately rid the world of magic. This went against everything Seref wanted. He wanted more power. Being limited made Seref angry. He had to find this person or persons responsible for these horrible acts and find out why, and possibly do something about it.

 

 

 

Now free from his chains. He stepped up to the door. He slowly slid back the metal square. He saw the guard. Just sitting down and looking like he was trying to sleep.

 

 

 

Seref closed his eyes and focused. He levitated the keys out of the hole in the door and down to the lock. He tried key after key. On the last key it turned. As queitly as he could he opened the door. He walked over to a table were the guard had set the club.

 

 

 

Slowly he walked up to the guard. His blood began to pump. Seref had a certain place in his heart for revenge.

The guard had barely sat down and closed his eyes when he heard a jingling of metal. He ignored it. This was a prison full of chains. It wasn't anything unusual. He shut out the world and tried to count sheep.

 

 

 

1,2,3,4... The guard stopped. He heard the distinct sound of a footstep. He snapped his eyes open. Standing in front of him was the prisoner. He was holding the club.

 

 

 

"You should have hit me harder."

Seref dropped the bloody club on the floor and walked away. One hit was all it took. And that one hit wasn't one that a person wakes up from.

 

 

 

Seref looked around and saw nobody. He began looking for his way out. It was too easy for him.

Cool beginning. I really did enjoy the tactic, I admit it had me fool for a minute. Just to be completely sure so it doesn't effect the story later the Cam-Cloak absorbs power so try to levitate or such will not work on it...well they may affect in the slighest way.

 

Anyhow I do look forward to who ever wants to write the next line, It would be me but I am already ahead slightly.

I may have to remind you that night elves are primarily pirates. they have a matriarchial society and prey on dwaren trade ships. I wouldn't say half-blood, but perhaps mixed, they have been known to rape their vicitms, though these days it is a rare occurance, since they are trying to create alliances with the human kingdoms.

where is he right now, I don't care if he doesn't know, but for the purposes of writing this its important for the rest of us to know.

Seref is in Prut. At least thats what I decided. If that doesnt work tell me.

it works, Prut is in the southern human lands, and some of the nearby islans are used by he elven alliance to hide their ships to raid dwarven merchants. Most of the fighting takes place to the north. Don't change your character, but tweak his backstory.

archimage, I want exact locations because its very hard to bring the character together without knowing where they are. The characters don't exactly know, but we should.

Well ummm I have 4 choices really

 

The dwarf Island-Not really gonna have that many rich humans...maybe some slaves

 

Twin Dragon Peaks-Not really anywhere near the humans, and I dont know whats on it

 

Prut the main human Island, lots of Humans but I need a place with enough room for 20 or so large manor houses filled with rare artefacts...

 

Bringing us to choice 4-Invent an Island

 

 

Name can be changed, This Island is basicly the place were all the rich folk hang out, because they are outside human laws, but still close enough to call for assistance. The Island is little know however, it seems to be unplottable, not really for any reason though. There are 40 or so human families, 10 rich families, 20 Sevent/slaves, 10 Villagers. A grand total of 174 humans live on the island. If you want me to be more exact then Xazax was in the north east of the Island, was robbing the house of the current Fleet Admiral of the north west navy holding the borders. Then he moved to the center east of the Island down a lava trench to a magma chamber, which is incidently under the Previous Fleet Admiral of the North West.

uh... dwarven empire is open to all races except elves... they don't keep slaves any more except in the rowdy sections of town. prut the island is pretty small, but hte kingdom is pretty large. but your allowed ot play Invent an Island! if you want ot.

Yeah I know that Dwarfs are fairly open but still it is unlikely that there will be a large amount of humans clustered together like this with no dwarf interferance. Also it allows me more freedom because the Island is outside mosy law.

 

 

 

I wasn't sure avout slaves but its was possible.

 

 

 

Good maps...lets try to get them all on 1 big map and the same colour though.
