April 25, 200620 yr I completed the Knight's Sword quest in RS1. As far as I am aware, there was no way to complete the quest and get a blurite sword for yourself. Now in RS2, from what I have read, you can get a sword for yourself (several if you are quick enough) by dropping the sword(s) at the appropriate time. If this is true, it is not very fair for people that completed the quest in RS1. We now have no way of getting a blurite sword. The combat ability of the sword is irrelevant, its just annoying not being able to get one (for the sake of completeness, and for outfits). I don't know why Jagex don't let you get one in much the same way as the silverlight. It is untradable anyway, being a quest item so people can't shortcut the quest. I can't see any reason to not have the same setup as there is for the silverlight. I would post and ask on the forums, but I am not a member so I can't. Perhaps someone who is a member could post this? If I have got anything wrong, please let me know. I would appreciate your viewpoints on this. Thanks. Andrew.
April 25, 200620 yr You can buy it on P2P, but to be honest, I wouldn't see the harm at all in being able to but it off the dwarf after the quest, similarly to the way you can buy silverlight from Sir What's-his-face, as you mentioned. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
April 25, 200620 yr You can get a second one quite easy. Just have the same materials you needed to make the first. Drop the first then talk to the dwarf again, he will make you a second one. Now pick up the first one. Make sure you only have 1 in your inventory when you talk to the squire, otherwise he will take both. You now have another useless weapon. Enjoy. (The Tip.It quest guide explains this also.) Proud member of Affliction

April 25, 200620 yr You can get ice gloves after Heroes Quest and Trollweiss after Troll Romance (not to mention many other quest items), so why not? If you can get the blurite and the other materials again, I don't see why Thurgo can't make another sword.
April 25, 200620 yr took 5 yrs for this topic to come up, i doubt they are close to changing this minor detail :D
April 25, 200620 yr I think the swords you can get from castle wars look similar, so if you are a member or don't mind becoming a member and just want it for the looks, there is a possible solution. Check out my Pocket Slot idea!

April 25, 200620 yr dude just get the materials AND another redberry pie and he will make u another my friend did that AFTER he finished the quest.
April 25, 200620 yr dude just get the materials AND another redberry pie and he will make u another my friend did that AFTER he finished the quest. Hmm... I'll have to check that, but I am pretty sure that you are unable to obtain it after quest. I really don't care too much though as I snagged a second when I did the quest. (now some1 quote me and add me to ur sig)
April 25, 200620 yr Well, after seeing how the Ying-Yang Ammulets were added in game after a letter to the Character that owns it, I decided to try this out with Thrugo asking him why he wont make me another sword event with all the materials, etc. Maybe if a bunch of us jotted a quick letter to that Posty Pete thing, it may be addressed and changed. Also, I do agree that it is unfair that those that did the qeust in RSC do not have the ability to get another one. But unless they change it, the Castlewars swords are your only option (even though they do not look as nice).
April 26, 200620 yr Author Thanks for the repsonse guys. Perhaps someone who is a member could post this on the forums for me who. The Postbag idea sounds great. I would be grateful to all those that can to make a request. I assume this is members only, if it is for non-members too, please inform me how to do it. Thanks. Andrew. P.S. Perhaps the question could read something like this: Dear Thurgo, I sucessfully completed the Knight's Sword quest in the old fashioned days of 2D! I am thankful you could help me out with the quest, perhaps I will drop another red berry pie around somewhen. I must say, I am a little amazed recently with what I have seen. People that have completed the Knight's Sword quest are also proudly carrying their own blurite sword! As much as I have tried to barter with such people, they will not sell me their sword. I ask you most sincerely, could you make me a blurite sword? Of course I would provide the materials, and a red berry pie as a way of saying thank you! If you could do such a thing, it would make me incredibly happy. Yours sincerely, Andrew_001
April 26, 200620 yr go to any of the Postbag articles, and at the bottom is an email address, to which you send letters. I think both f2p and p2p can send letters in!
April 26, 200620 yr Author Thank you for the information. Message sent! :) Will be interesting to see what happens. Make sure if you are in the same position that you also send a similar message. At least then we should get a response from Jagex. Andrew.
April 26, 200620 yr dude just get the materials AND another redberry pie and he will make u another my friend did that AFTER he finished the quest. Just to let everyone know, this does not work. :x I was bored and decided to try it out, probably should have known better... Check out my Pocket Slot idea!
April 26, 200620 yr I didnt get the blurite sword either, I regret it now as I think it looks nice but I for some reason thought I would be able to get another :(

April 26, 200620 yr Author It always amazes me how people manage to post something completely irrelvant for no reason. What is this jimbo, a childish attempt to increase your post count? You describe the weapon as 'noob looking'. Your opinion, not a fact. You describe the weapon as 'useless'. Not true and only your opinion. I would like to see you create a level three character and start training combat with a rune weapon straight away. Oh wait, you can't. So you need another weapon as a lower level player.....oh look.....the blurite sword is an option. Not to mention that people might want to use the sword as part of an outfit. Have you ever considered that people play the game for 'fun'? Might be an alien concept to you. Being the best or having the best isn't important for everyone. I personally collect rare items. I don't care if I have the most, I just enjoy collecting. I would like to congratulate you jimbo on insulting a Tip.It mod and several respected members of the community. Anyone that has posted with relevant comments doesn't fit into the 'couldn't care less' category. In your opinion, they are therefore a noob. Somehow don't think you are going to win the next forum popularity contest. Now please keep off my post. Thank you for those who have posted relevant comments. Andrew.
April 26, 200620 yr I do have a second bluerite sword. The main reason for 'taking' it was trying the tip on how to get it. The main reason for keeping it? Simple .. I have two sons both playing RS. If one of them cant finish the quest for whatever reason, I can help by giving the sword. Does this make me a noob? Semper in excremento, sole profundum qui variat.

If one of them cant finish the quest for whatever reason, I can help by giving the sword. Does this make me a noob? Of course it doesnt make you a "noob". I personally think its one of the best looking weapons in the f2p game, with a very distinctive look. However, I should warn you, that sword is untradable, meaning you can't help your son with the quest. Best you can do is protect him while he mines the ores and provide him with the iron bars and redberry pie, and help him distract the Knight (Sir Vyvin?) so he can get the picture.
May 9, 200620 yr Author I have tried on at least 3 occasions over the last two weeks to send a letter to the [email protected] address. Each time I have tried, the e-mail comes back with the following message: 'Delivery to the following recipients failed.' I don't know why this is the case. I have checked the address and it is correct. Does anyone else get this problem or had this problem? Is it restricted to P2P only (by checking if your e-mail address is associated with a P2P account)? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Andrew
