I hardly ever use RSC, but when I checked today I found some guy trying to sell a poor version of one of Chessmastuh's sigs. I didn't bother posting because someone else already flamed him, but I thought that I might as well expose him/get him banned here.

I wouldn't say that he's ripped, I'd say that he's just done a poor rough copy of Chess's main themes. So he technically hasn't done anything against the rules, but it is very much so frowned upon.

I dont know if it could be considered Ripping, he just made a crappy art out of Chess sletch...

Looks to me like he just moved it down a few pixels and erased the pixels...not to mention that he started ignoring that vegetable guy...

It's not a rip. Nothing was directly traced or copypasted. Yes it is very similar and likely was copied by looking at yours, but no actual rip was posted here in Tipit so we don't have anyone or any evidence to use to punish someone for ripping.

 

 

 

I am locking this because it's just going to lead to flaming, and your post wrongfully accuses someone of ripping when it's only the possibility of copying, and no rules were actually broken in tipit (no ripped work posted here).

 

 

 

I've been there many times, daily I see bad copies of my work as well, just ignore it and know people who copy can never learn their own skill and will never make something as good as what you make.

 

 

 

Reguarding the post in the other forum, you could discuss with him that you feel your worked was copied too much of, but flaming never leads anywhere, just remember that anyone who thinks copied work is original doesn't really understand art enough so you could ignore it.

 

 

 

In the future, if you think someone broke a rule in Tipit, PM a mod or admin, don't make a topic about it. If they broke a rule in another forum, we can't do anything about it, you'll have to PM a mod or admin from that forum.
