kwimbob
Hm... verac isn't very good at the fight caves I don't think. At the fight caves you have to fight tons of monsters so Guthan is actually very effective. Either that or you meant the fight pits, which is where you fight other players and verac is really good for that. So could you clarify which mini-game you meant? Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]

It also hits through their defence, it makes any npc act as though it has no armor and 1 def.... oblivion2006
People wear the helm and skirt for defence and prayer bonuses. They range the entire thing from the Italy rock.

Bloodveld
i dont believe that to be true since they wear no armor any way. theirs nothing to ignore, verac doesnt ignore def lvls. They wear no armor, but their hides give an armor bonus, which verac ignores. Trust me, verac makes for quick training. :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3! Trust me, verac makes for quick training. i thought that to, but when i verac'd them i was super setted so i really kind of thought their was no big difference since the crush of the weapon devestates alot of things. ive asked some people, and the people who answered my query said, it does not. even a few other people said it wouldn't such as trixstar. i dont like to say for sure whether it does or not because, wishful thinking, lucky shots, and many other things. IF it it was true that it would help make them less defensive that would be great, i just really dont see it happening. like i said, i wish it were true, but i have my doubts
Cool1
i sent jagex a query about that, and they said it is only when fighting player and when the spec takes place, it ignores the Player's armour. i deleted it and i don't have the reply anymore :[/b]
RAHK
The actual effect of the verac's set basically makes you randomly hit with 100% accuracy... the problem is that you can be 100% accurate with a damage of zero. Any high level barrower that doesn't pray the melee brothers will tell you that verac usually uses the most food (even though dharok is more dangerous due to the huge max hits). That's my take on it and what I have seen in-game. On-Topic: Without guthans you need to bring about 5 sara pots (4) and the rest super restores (4) (or p pots and 5 super restores). I would suggest the xbow due to it's speed, the lack of a need for multiple weapons, and it's power. Make sure you have PLENTY of bolts since you will have to range every single thing. I would also suggest about 30 rune knives (s) for jad if you can afford the space. The point of bringing verac's/initiate armor is to extend your prayer. This is only necessary for those with very low prayer and/or low range (the longer it takes you to kill it the longer you are wasting prayer). If you have a decent prayer level range bonus will be more important and, of course, vice versa. I would suggest the following gear (or as close as possible) for somebody attempting it without a huge prayer/range level: Verac's or Initiate's helm Obby cape or Legend's Fury, Glory, or Unholy symbol (depending on prayer level) 3k+ Bolt Racks X bow or 1 crystal bow + one other good range weapon (rune knives, MSB + rune arrows both (s), etc.) Black Dhide body or Verac's/Initiate pl8 (Kharil's is not as good) Black Dhide Chaps or Verac's/Initiate skirt/legs (Kharil's is not as good) Archer Ring or Recoil White Boots or Rangers Dark Gloves or White Gloves or Black Vambs I would take prayer bonus over range bonus if less than 60 prayer but at least wear black body and archer ring. If less than 70 range I would train before attempting, lol, but 70-80 range I would try to supplement more range gear if your prayer is decent. White boots are a MUST and if you can afford it archer ring is nice as well (I used wealth lol I can't take the thing off its stuck). PM me in game to use some skills of mine (glories/potions) free or to ask a question.Fire Cape - 04/29/06 Lvl 104RAHK's Pro PC Gear and Guide(clickable) Tired of hack and slash? FPSers getting old?
