Is Sand Actually Good Crafting Exp Now?

Featured Replies

With the completion of Swan Song Quest, one of the rewards is free seaweed that you can get in nets. The seaweed respawns much more quickly then any other source and a close bank. Also, the completion of Hand in the Sand Quest gives you free buckets of sand a day. Does this mean sand will actually be worthwhile crafting exp? :|

if it actually is then jagex will probably lower its xp or the respawn rate of the seaweed :x

Nope, Jagex finally through us a bone with crafting. The guy in the quest states that this is the fastest seaweed respawn and your character bluntly points out that glassmaking is now more effective, lol. This is here to stay, as is hand in the sand's sand.

Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.

And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.

[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.

Sad thing is: I can walk to the monks, take the boat to entrana, get a load of seaweed, AND bank it before I can get a full load waiting for those 2 to respawn. They need at least one more net to make it faster (yes I was on a full world).

That being said, it is a great spot to fish AND gather seaweed. I bring a log, a tinderbox, a small net, and fish while they respawn. I usually catch between 0-4 per respawn depending on my luck. When I am full I light the log, cook the monks, grab another seaweed (to replace the log), cook the seaweed, then bank. Pretty good if you use that method to gather seaweed there but otherwise entrana is the better choice.

Is that with or without using a glory back to Draynor?

Most people who can do this quest have the glories needed not to mention that you can run or craft laws while you do this. If I ever need more seaweed entrana is the only place to go for me.

You need to collect it from the nets to the east of the fishing spot.

Just wondering, how much buckets of sand does everyone have? Im 1 trip away from 2k :o

500 empty buckets no buckets with sand

i do hides for crafting

To my opinion, this is a great way of getting crafting experience, aswell as getting a good load of money and magic experience. Battlestaffs alch for 5k if I am not mistaking and it is sure worthwhile. The seaweed spawns fast and you can fish expensive monkfish during the gathering. Also you get the sand from hand in the sand' quest, so all you have to do is to turn it into orbs and 'worship' them to battlestaffs.

Good profit!! Good experience!! No time gathering items!! No investment required!!

34eyfbd.jpg9h43sp.jpg16m28ty.jpg

pack up essense>craft laws>collect seaweed>teleport back is faster and more efficient

well...the only good thing i see with glass is orbs, which you can enchant and b-staff make. But b-staffs are a pain cause thers a 5 stock per shop and you have to charge the orbs. Battlestaffs alch for 9.3k ea btw and cost 7k about from the shop...then theres the cost of nats and cosmics....so its really its about 1.75k ea.
