best way is to buy the essence (not pure since you are going to be making airs. just the regular stuff. worth about 25-30 gp ea now from the update), and just run from fally bank down to the air alter, craft, and run back. you make more airs then you would fires.

Not sure on what is faster xp, I never tried fires with the shop, but I don't think its much better. I have made airs for almost all of my 60 runecraft levels I think, can do at least 30 trips an hour. The fastest xp though, is with runners. I used the world 16 air crafting company, paying 2.5k per trip for runners. This is a money lost process until lvl 55 probably, when you make 6x airs, but you get around 20k xp an hour instead of 4-5k soloing.

the shop isnt really much closer to the alter than the bank, i wud run to the bank instead of wasting money.

At least in the world map the difference looks so long that it's worth it to waste like 10xp/trip instead of running all the way to the bank. Of course there's a chance that someone steals your essences from it, but so what? 20 normal ess isn't really worth the tears :P

body runes, hands down. air runes actually give you the least exp per ess, body runes give you the most. and the body altar is now the closest altar to a bank in the game, since the barabarian village update. the cute little racoons will show you the way

About the world 16 company.

Firstly you should know that every 1k ess you craft will cost you 100k cash for runners, this might put you off. You keep the airs you make. You should wear black robes and an air tiara, and bring money and noted ess. People trade you 25 ess, you give them 25 noted ess and 2.5k cash. Craft airs and repeat. Theres not really a need to officially apply, I just turned up and they only had 1 guy crafting, so I did it for a few hours, got from lvl 56 to 60. There are often people using the runners and paying 2k or less, which is looked down upon, but you cant do anything about it. The choice really is whether you want to pay 100k minus the airs selling price, for every 5k xp.

I really can't tell you whats fastest if you want to just run yourself, I make airs as they are easy to sell and make the most profit. I don't want to be stuck with 1000s of budy runes. Its between airs fire and body though.

i have done the world 16 crafting thing, its pretty good for exp, faster than running anywhere yourself, including laws.

100k is about 1000 ess, so you would really only try and breakeven when you can craft at least 6, considering the downward prices of airs. However if you can keep at it until you can craft 7 airs ea, at lv 66 crafting, then you breakeven, if not almost (if you buy ess 20ea, you pay 1 gp per 1 xp, very cheap).

Can't be 1 gp per XP, as you only gain XP per essence, not per rune - crafting multiple runes doesn't help the XP.

correct, it isnt 1gp per exp, i miscalculated somewhere

at 66, you craft 7 airs per ess, so a load of 25 ess gives 175 airs, which if you sell at 15 ea (20 is unreasonable if you want pure speed), then you get 2625 gp per load of ess crafted. so you are left with 125 gp gain, but you have to take into account of your lost ess, and assuming ess to be 20ea (you can get 15ea not too difficult though), then each 25 ess costs 500 gp. that means you have 375gp loss. This means you pay 3gp per 1 xp.

considering other skills such as prayer and smithing, rc is pretty cheap, albeit slow.
