May 25, 200620 yr nice guide - a few things to add 1. i always look at the foreman when pumping as it is easier to tell if there is a broken pipe then looking at them 2. I tend to buy my iron ores, and bring my noted coal with me. This tends to reduce the profit that I get. 3. I tend to make 20 at a time because that it a convenient number to make with the other things in my inventory. This is particularly good when making plates. Making 25 at a time is possible if you a) dont alch and B) make steel/mithril knives. This way you can carry the knives that you make and save on inventory space. I also found that bringing lots of arrow shafts was useful, as I could make mith arrows and make them there so I could carry the arrows. Best Barrows Chest: guth skirt, dh helm, dh axe, racks, gp (23/08/06); best tt reward: robin, guthix helm, guthix legs, nats, rune legs

May 26, 200620 yr Is it possible to just leave your bars in the machine, and pick them up later when you have like 1k bars or something? Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science
May 26, 200620 yr Author Is it possible to just leave your bars in the machine, and pick them up later when you have like 1k bars or something? um im not sure, i think that there is a bar limit, youll have to test this yourself, sorry, the more bars i had in there at once was 28, i think thats the maximum, because it would not let me add any more mith ores that round, so i think 28 is the max but im not sure
May 26, 200620 yr Hmm, too bad. Would be great to just leave them in there and stock up on bars. I'll check it out for myself in a few hours. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science
May 26, 200620 yr Aight, I've been to th Blast Furnace. 28 is the max, indeed. But I was wondering, how are you able to get profits? When I buy a few mith, prices skyrocket to 500gp each. When he is fully stocked, they cost less than 200gp each. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science

When he is fully stocked, they cost less than 200gp each. when he is a full stock of both coal and mith ores i make about 3k profit per round, when he is at lowest stock possible i only make about 1k a round, i dont calculate how much i make, all i know is when i come out i have gained lots of smithing exp and never have less money than i went in with, always profit edit: bauke, add me ingame if you have any questions or want me to come to the furnce and show you in person pm me, im world hopping for battle staffs atm so might not be on worlds for long so if you see me online say 'hi' quick
May 26, 200620 yr Is it possible to just leave your bars in the machine, and pick them up later when you have like 1k bars or something? from what i understand, you must take out the bars before you put in more ores. you can put in lots of coal, but metal ores cant be added until you move out some bars, and you cant have more than 28 metal ores and bars combined in the machine at any time also, if you load up the furnace with coal or ores and log out, you lose them when you log back in (same thing with the bone grinder, but not with flour mills, strangely enough...) so make sure you smelt everything out if youre gonna log off Are you a member with a full bank and cancelling your subscription? Are you an F2P player that wants more bank space? Check out my guide on Going to F2P with a full bank

May 26, 200620 yr Hm, I tried it out for a bit more. And I must say that I don't think this is efficient. I couldn't even get my last load of bars because of the continuous broken pipes. Think I'll just go smith the normal way. Twitter ||| Google+ ||| Facebook ||| LinkedIn ||| My very interesting weblog about science

May 26, 200620 yr Nice guide bro, you should add a map with quick routes to bank or something and quest requirements(not sure if those were there). I'm keeping to port phasmytys for now, or at least until I've done all the quests. Drops: Barrows: 60+ DK: 4... Dragon: 60+ Whips: 2... GWD: 0...ouch!Main Goal: 2000 total with no 99's

I'm keeping to port phasmytys for now, or at least until I've done all the quests. no quests are needed to access the blast furnace, only 60 smithing to enter free, under 60 have to pay 2.5k every time they go in and dont have access to the anvils, or they can wear a ring of Charos (u) and only pay 1.25k per time

May 27, 200620 yr How long does one run (20 bars) take you? And any idea how long it'd take if you banked the ores rather than smithing them? Thanks and cool guide. Free online contests |Funny exam answers

May 29, 200620 yr Author bump im going to keep this bumped untill it is put in the archive of wisdom (hopfully) can you tell me if you make any profit doing it the steel way and buying the coal there? to answer this question i dont know, but im at the furnace now so ill try it out edit: i made about 1k a round making and alching the steel plates, but it wasnt full coal so you could get a bit more im not sure if im alowerd to say this, but i recon if tip.it tweak this they should put it on there main site. its very helpful wow thanks :D How long does one run (20 bars) take you? And any idea how long it'd take if you banked the ores rather than smithing them? a good run takes about 3-4 mins, but can take longer if pipes break quite often or you dont get the stove hot enough, and banking the bars would add about another 2 mins on i think, and thats if you drink some super energy pots
