bjbj1991
How do you make money firemaking? I have passed Shades of Mort'ton but I still fail to understand.
kwimbob
There's absolutely no way, lol. The only possible way would be to go to f2p Karamja and say "making fire if you pay 5k!!!" Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]

Firemaking will only result in losing money because it's not like you can sell a fire. Combat LvL: 98Status: F2P
pokemama
EDIT: Sigh. I wrote this nice long post below, then discovered Tip.It has a "Splitbark Armour" guide which explains all of the details about making money by Shade Burning, heh heh. It's http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=splitbark_armour.htm -------------------------- After Shades of Mort'ton, buy some Olive Oil from the store (if you haven't already, make some serum207 into serum207p by using it on the Temple flame, and give it to Razmire, so you can always use the store). Go to the Temple and get it built (try World 2 if you don't have a group - but buy your Oil first on a more deserted world). Once the Fire is lit, use your Olive Oils on it to make them blessed (or whatever it's called). Use your blessed Olive Oil on a log - the higher pyre logs you can burn, the better. (Note the firemaking requirement on pyre logs is slightly higher than for regular logs - check Tip.It's Firemaking guide.) Now kill a Loar shade and collect the remains. Go to one of the pyre stands, put the pyre log on it, then the remains, then light it with a Tinderbox. After the spirit is released, there will be a key (and sometimes some gp or something minor) on the nearby stand. Use the key to go down into the Mort'ton dungeon. While you're down there, kill the highest level shade you can reach, and keep the remains. Then use your key on a chest in the appropriate area (the areas increase through the keys: bronze, iron, steel, black, and silver). You will get some LOOT. If you get the rare fine cloth, you can sell it to a player or use it to make splitbark armour. Other items can be sold, high alched, or sold to Razmire. Burning higher shade remains with higher level pyre logs yields higher level keys, which unlock higher chests with better loot. (That was a long sentence.) Bringing enough logs, carrying building supplies, and some food for the dungeon used to be a pain. Most people brought it noted, then sold and bought it back from Razmire's store. But if you complete the Aid to the Myreque quest, Burgh de Rott has a bank that may be handier. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. ikraz66
im sure that you can use the headlamp for some moneymaking. i'm not sure, i'm f2p and i dont know which dungeons need lanterns. I do know that firemaking is a very quick and fun skill to level. Its also the fastest cheap exp on f2p servers since you can just buy unlimited amounts of oaks and willows in the lumby gen store. Thats the one thing i like about autoers. they keep the store full of logs 8-) . Unfortunately its not worth banking and selling these logs since theres no bank nearby on free servers. :( Proud owner of a Quest cape!
