Tennis_Ace
Well what do you guys think now? how long did it last?It would be awesome if only you could make 20 rooms per floor rather then 20 rooms per house... No. 20 total is okay but 25 would be perfect.
dorker42
i say poh's will always be popular. Wrong, hehe. :P fan of her's.You know what I hate? People putting an apostrophe on a personal pronoun. STOP IT.
Esper_Jones
Even if they are no longer the most popular things to do, people will still use them for such things as: > Portals - very good long-term investment. Saves a law rune per trip to ardougne, trollheim, yanille, or canifis. Bloods for canifis as well. > Altars - the highest altar is a lot more convenient than ecto-funging. > Barrows - The combination of portal to canifis (with normal magic, no less) and altar lets you create an insanely fast trip. > Infinite Glory Charges - That's a given ;) > Mahogany Lecterns - One-click teleports that don't require a mage level to use, don't give experience, and can teleport straight to a safe zone (house)? Something tells me pures will be using these often soon. Those are the ones I have experience with myself. Jack of all trades, master of thieving. 259th to 99 thieving. piman1053
No, it will always be a skill that ppl train and get cooler houses, etc
tewas
it won't have huge crowd around portals, but there is plenty of uses for POH. and if you place them in stategic positions if will give you fast acess to map corners. i'm at 60 const but plannning to go 75+ once i finish my other goals. 1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb. 02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb. 07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.Prayer is good for herbs
Rebdragon
No, it will always be a skill that ppl train and get cooler houses, etc Bzz, eh, wrong. This skill costs a frikin' 4 gp per exp point to train (and that's with oak, the other stuff costs a ton more) and since training the skill is extremely fast, my bet is that people will occasionally decide to make a big lvl leap when they make a few spare extra mil, but other than that most people are basically done. They've spent the cash already getting their lvls, so unless someone dies with a Phat next to them I doubt the're going to continue much, seeing as how most everyone is spent  . Basically, training the skill goes so fast that if someone hasn't reached their goal yet it's because they're either waaay too poor for the goal they're trying to get, or they took a nice long break from RS and just found out about POH. I mean, it took what, a few days for Cursed You to get 99 Cons? [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series. Onanica
what i like about cons is that even though it costs alot, you get exp pretty fast. like with any other buyable skill, it takes a while to raise, but cons goes almost as fast as cooking! thats pretty sweet, plus i need something to spend barrows cash on... i really just like the thrill of finding something in the chest, i don't want armour or anything like that... and so i spend my money on my house, where i get somewhere to train and hang out without noobs pestering me, and exploring all of the options (i still have no idea how some of it works) plus, it still trains fast enough to do some damage to my total level for instance, i got 1500 total today, i figured i wouldn't let everyone know on tipit cause no one knows or likes me, but there it is... yay me
Daviduhlich
Nah. Even if the initial rush has died down, the skill itself never will. It's always going to be useful for the free teleports, faster prayer exp, cheap barrow repairs, lecterns, easy leveling, and of course showing off. Even just the easy levels is enough to keep people training it. People would train construction even if it did nothing for them.. If you don't believe me, just look at firemaking. bepo
i got 50 construction (rather easily might I add) for the alter and teleports and stuff. THat was like a month ago. i have yet to even set foot in my house since. Honestly, it's not that usefull. Maybe for barrows, but for a rune pure i find very little use. ~Bepo Because bepo is always right RSN: Z A M 0 (it's a zero) 74 att - 45 def - 76 str - 72 hp - 52 pray - 91 magicFeel free to give me a shout, private is always ON
KurtangleTN
Two things: 1. You don't have to buy the uber-expensive items. Just go with a reasonable look that you like and stick with it. 2. The POH will be the next Blue Party Hat. The overall worth will be much greater than that silly little paper hat and people will be able to show off their even greater wealth when they show you their Crystal throne and Iron dragon in their dungeon. I myself am very glad for the extreme prices. I have no plan to ever get those items but I'm sure some rich merchanter does and therefore will drain some of his money and another merchanter will do the same and it will repeat like that hopefully until there's less money in circulation. Many people are saying that it will only be temporary but look at it this way, if someone can make 10 million coins in an hour why can't they spend ten million coins in an hour? Despite Thieving and High Alching bringing in more cash the money generally ends up in the hands of a merchanter and they'll be the ones going off to put that money to their POH thus negating that added money. 1. So be it but you see people with 80 constuction open parties and it almost being dead, if you have lower ones and not the best items you're just not going to attract people. 2. You can't wear a poh in edgeville. I think POH's will stay with clan members and people with alot of friends but for people who besides 5-6 people have no real friends, I doubt it will last. I just use my house as a teleportation center now, soon i'll redesign it so all the usefull stuff is right near the portal. Current Goal: Fire Cape, 0-6 at the caves 0-3 agianst the Jad, Lag done me in.
TechHead7890
Never. Already at W 12 I don't see many people, maybe 5 or less but that's all... I don't think there is a Homeworld for houses, at least that I know about..
sirisandir
houses are awesome, i dont ever see them ever going out of style as theres lots of uses for them (teleport/prayer/parties/relaxing/easy cooking training/showing off your wealth, etc...) plus, it makes woodcutting worthwhile if you're not into fletching.. Danton
Houses rule none the less and i enjoy my house but really no point in training it much higher. its more like training firemaking for me now. boooooooring.
