June 3, 200620 yr on average how long does it take to get a drop from leeches?? i spent a total of 4 hours in abyss killing them and did not get a pouch. i go in with full rune, 1 ectophial for a quick tele, 20 prayer pot(4), small pouch with 3 ess, and 5 swordies just in case. am i killing the worng ones??
June 3, 200620 yr kill the middle lvl ones of the 3 and don't wear ring of wealth, ring seems to work in reverse down there.

June 3, 200620 yr I 've only killed the leeches and have gotten a pouch in the first 15 minutes that I've been there. You just ran into a bit of bad luck there. I guess it also depends on how quickly you can kill a abyssal monster. The more you kill, the more chances you have of getting a pouch.

June 3, 200620 yr Yes, dont waste pray pots. Once you are down there long enough they are non-aggresive so just attack the small ones then. |Barrows Drops-7|Dragon Drops-5|
June 4, 200620 yr Like the others said, it's mostly luck. I got 3 pouches (already had small) in about 7 trips (which I low alched because I was out of bank space and could use the bit of money and cant use hi alch)
June 4, 200620 yr If you're using protect from melee don't use full rune, go for innitiate or monk robes and save prayer

I got them all back in about 10 minutes today, but that was of course pretty lucky. I always bring the ring though, and it helps. There's a spot to middle of the west with tons of leeches and not much else. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. June 4, 200620 yr I was down there for an hour before I got my first one. Then got the other three within ten minutes. Another girl with me was having the same problem. We both tried taking our Ring of wealth on and off in case it made a difference. It *seemed* that off worked better (which is smart anyway due to PKers), but dunno for sure. The other girl finally got hers too, around same time as I did. BTW, they dropped in increasing order for some reason. So we both first got a small, then medium, then large, and then extra large. Weird huh? Good luck. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*.
