QueenValerie
I send my butler to the bank to unote my logs, and he drops the unoted logs at my feet, and then takes off to the bank. He is doing things backwards. So I told him off and fired him. I bought another one and he is doing the same thing  Geesh just can't find any good help these days.. Has this happen to anyone else and what do I do ?????
pokemama
maybe he is still carrying your last load queen valerie? I dunno it's just a thought... I was told that the "avoiding payment" thing depends on not TALKING to the servant (who will always demand wages then), but USING notes or logs on the servant (no talking). For whatever that's worth. it's a lot easier to get over yourself when you look at intelligence the same way you look at beauty, or height, or eye color: being smart is easy, but being good is hard ... being smart is handed to you, being good is handed to *nobody*. bobby1167
I figured out that if your Unnoting planks you never have to pay, just talk to him and use the logs on him and ignore his begs for payment! All Quests completed99 Thieving achieved on January 10th, 200899 Defense achieved on August 3rd, 200885 Slayer achieved on July 31st, 20086 Dragon boot drops, 14 Whip drops

I didn't know there was a bug that let you avoid paying him so he can continue serving food and stuff, I thought it was only using notes/logs on him. assassin_696
I didn't actually think this was a bug, and that Jagex intended for us to be able to get him to unnote logs etc. without the huge fees. I need to check it myself but it's a shame if it is. How much money do Jagex want draining? ronnyuk
Please don't post information if it is incorrect, you DO NOT have to pay to un-note logs and use sawmill, only to serve drinks and food, and greet guests. Nothing has changed from day 1 Just clearing this up :) Quit Runescape 10 jan 2007 - Playing again 2012
Cazwise
Now it is..Used to be for everything except for serving dinner and greeting guests Jagex fixed it seems like Yeah, and 'everything except serving dinner and greeting guests' is just un-noting and getting the servant to take the logs to the sawmill. Nothing has changed, it has been this way since the day it came out. But every time she keeps asking, so i just pay her cause its only 3k and goes faster Hm yeah, I guess it is around .5 seconds faster. It's actually slower if using lower level servants... I will explain.. When you don't owe the servant any money he gives you your unoted logs/planks as soon as he returns which is fine, but if your trying to lvl construction fast, it's better to owe him money, as when he returns he doesn't give all the logs to you, so you can carry on building/removing that mahogany bookcase or whatever you are doing. I always give him my next set of unoted logs as I take the planks off him, but the servant will return just as your halfway through rebuilding your bookcase, if he has a full inv he will wait about for a bit, then your planks/logs will be put into your bank, but if you owe him money, he will wait forever untill you speak to him again. This may not make sense but you get the gist of it :) This doesnt count when you get to lvl 50 as the demon guy is super fast .:P Quit Runescape 10 jan 2007 - Playing again 2012
Veryhyper
It still works just a bit different now, when he asks for pay after you already told him to bring planks or whatever use something on him and he'll say do you want me to bring it to the bank or whatever and then left click on him and he will give the planks or whatever and then you can continue to do it. I reported it to bug abuse. You can only get him to convert logs and bring unnoted stuff without paying him.
tarpukka
it is so stupid... now u need to pay like every 10th flight... it could be great if u pay 10k to buttler like in one hour or something like that. but not every minute :S
Ghost-Knigth
This is soooo lame.. Like construction wasn't hard enough to raise anyways... I can make my butler unnote my logs and take them to sawmill like 6 times.. Then he want's another 5k!!
